Zerus is a zerg cerebrate, once known as the leader of the Tiamat brood. One of the few cerebrates that split off from Kerrigan's control, Zerus wisely chose to flee instead of engage in a battle of wills with the deadly queen. controlling a small pocket of zerg, he fled to the far reaches of space. His exile was interrupted by the plans of a certain god, who summoned him across the far reaches of space...
large though he is, Zerus cannot move fast, and is physically helpless. unlike many other cerebrates, however, he does have some combat ability, and can fire psychic bolts at attackers. This technique is draining, however, and Zerus is still not a combatant. Zerus is not his original name, but rather the name of the zerg homeworld, which he has made his moniker in mockery of Kerrigan and in memory of the late Overmind.
