Re: Spiritus
Biography:
Spiritus would normally be an unremarkable world, populated only by the unaligned race of sand elves that populate it, who do have some skill in earth magic and the blade but are otherwise unremarkable beings that live in dispersed clans around the world.
The real attraction to this world to the gods seems to be the temple that lay on the world, in the middle of what is known as the green patch, the only part of this world not part of a desert biome. This temple would ordinarily look unremarkable at first glance, save for it's age, but it is invulnerable to small and even large arms fire, and has weathered mecha weaponry and even concentrated bombardment by an arms fort. The temple's other feature is that any who attempted to enter it so far have burned to ash before getting five feet up the stairs.
The temple itself is reminiscent of ancient roman temple designs, but appears to be much older than any human kingdom. While some amongst the heroes and generals of avalon have said that it is a waste of resources, every known god keeps a dedicated garrison here.
While it may be assumed the temple could not by necessity kill the gods, they appear unwilling or at the least uninterested in entering the temple itself, but hold it as a key tactical advantage, and as a result the grounds around the temple change hands every few days as one god or the other gains control of it for however long they can.
