A Carrier Battle group is the main Federation fighting formation, carrying over 12,500 star fighters, and is normally supported by 6 battle lines and 4 Roving lines. Although as seen in the attack on the Stain Region, Carrier Battle Groups sometimes operate with less support. Also after this engagement, the Federation military council decided to increase the size of each battle group.

Nyx-Class Super Carrier.
The Nyx is a gigantic homage to a figure much loved in Gallente society. The ship’s design is based on the scepter of Doule dos Rouvenor III, the king who, during his peaceful 36-year reign, was credited with laying the foundation for the technologically and socially progressive ideologies which have pervaded Gallente thought in the millennia since. Indeed, the Nyx itself is emblematic of the Gallenteans’ love for progress; packed to the ergonomic brim with the latest in cutting-edge advancements, it is a proud reminder of the things that make the Federation what it is.
Role: The role of a super carrier is to provide vast amounts of strike craft to support a Federation fleet. They are deployed with 4 carriers in a battle croup to provide thousands of fighters for any engagement.

Praetor-Class Star Battlecruiser Federation Mod I
A new heavy-battle cruiser design produced to serve as a vanguard for the Litany of Defiance. Three notable vessels serve as the Litany's Wing Squadron: Oathbreaker's Shame, Guardian's Pledge, and Thrill of Danger. These vessels have twice the defensive power of the mighty Strident, with an adaptive nanobot repair system built into their armor and multspectral adaptive shielding matrices.
Role: The role of a heavy battlecruiser is to serve as guardians for Command and Control ships like the Litany of Defiance. They are equipped with heavy shields and weapons to give them immense staying power and fire support ability.

Excelsior-class Starship
The Excelsior is an aged “Man o’ War” of a class that has served in the Federation Navy for several hundred years. Many were mothballed or dry docked until the war with the Sansha, where they underwent extensive upgrades. Now they are equipped with powerful Nod phaser arrays, quantum torpedoes, and transphasic torpedoes. These ships serve as heavy cruisers in the fleet despite their battlecruiser grade shielding.

Proteus-Class Strategic Cruiser Federation Refit
The Proteus is an expensive, yet remarkably strong, warship built with a fusing of Gallente and Sleeper technology. It follows the close-combat philosophy of most Gallente vessels, but it has incredible versatility. It can serve as a command ship with its powerful targeting relays and ECCM capabilities, as frontline cruiser, with its resilient hull plating and powerful weapons, and even as a recon vessel, with its cloaking device. This vessel has become popular among the Federation navy due to its ability to fulfill the role of battlecruiser and line ship. It is commonplace to find this cruiser in Federation roving lines.

Capabilities:
When the Federation Navy unveiled its first model Megathron in the early 23320s (Decade 090), the ship was a revolution in the Battleship class. Through her highly modular design in two spacious forward mission package bays, the ship could be rapidly reconfigured between a close range assault ship with formidable defenses, to the premier long-range fleet combatant in space.
In the close assault role, the modern ‘Refit 107’ Megathron has only recently been supplanted by the larger and better protected Hyperion, but still remains a potent ship. Seven paired mounts for a total of fourteen turrets grant her impressive firepower, made all the more effective by the Duvolle-designed superconductor based magnetic transmission that increases the effective rate by which heavy turrets can traverse to bring themselves to bear on swifter targets. Each particle cannon is supported by powerful oscillating particle capacitors that increase the energy output of each weapon by 25% when properly regulated, offering devastating firepower that exceeds the combined salvo of even the new Caldari Rokh-class. Manufactured by Duvolle, these oscillating particle capacitors were developed concurrently with smaller-scale versions found in the commonplace Thorax-class heavy cruiser. Typically, the weapons mounted are Duvolle ‘Thunderbolt V’ Ion Cannons, or the more powerful ‘Vanquisher II’ Neutron Cannons.
Additionally, the distributed layout of the Megathron’s turrets offers maximum field of fire as well as protection in case of damage, as an unlucky internal structural hit cannot then disable a whole bank of weapons. Lightweight Crystalline Carbide armor provides a low-mass alternative to bulkier materials to maintain the Megathron’s acceleration. Despite newer battleships becoming available, the Megathron remains competitive with refits adding ablative armoring and advanced nanomaterial ‘hardeners’, improving the ship’s defensive abilities beyond those of the stock version. The armor protection is thickest around the two large modular ‘mission bays’ near the bow of the Megathron. These distinctive structures shield the small drone bay inside the main hull of the ship and provide suitable internal volume for great versatility in electronic warfare, additional magnetic field support for the ship’s armament or redundant damage control systems. The Megathron remains amongst the most versatile battleships in existence.
The Magnetic-Pulse Targeting and Acquisition FCS managing the Megathron’s primary armament are reliable and highly resilient to enemy ECM or Decoys, although not to the extent of similar Caldari Gravimetric systems. This FCS and it’s accompanying sensor system, both popular products of the Chemal Tech Corporation, operate upon detecting minute magnetic disturbances caused only by modern starships and their multitudes of electronic and power systems. Although not entirely reliable in regions cluttered by large numbers of native objects (such as asteroids), Magnetometric scanners can establish a firing lock quickly at even long ranges while immune to all but the most sophisticated electronic warfare. Coupled with the high-speed if somewhat outdated ‘Priam-A’ class central computer, the Megathron can easily track and engage more than 7 targets simultaneously.
Despite her powerfully armored flanks, the Megathron is lacking in shield protection when compared to Caldari and Republican Matari naval units. Unable to produce a continuous shield such as those found on all Caldari starships, Roden engineers produced a pulsed shield system for the Megathron. The ‘Astronome’ system offers fair protection against minor threats and frigate attack, but lacks the resilience to stand up for long. Additionally, shields interfere with current magnetometric detection systems. By using microsecond-long pulses, magnetometric detection of enemy vessels can function unimpaired. As a consequence however, overall shield strength remains weak, and the system is easily compromised by concerted enemy fire.
Battle proven and highly reliable, the main ‘Soleil Dix Neuf’(Mark 19) Fusion Reactor supplies a staggering amount of power to this fearsome ship. Hydrogen bunkerage aboard the Megathron allows operational periods of several weeks between resupply, even when the reactor is configured by a skilled engineering crew to provide greater than the stock 15500MW output. A monster Duvolle Ion Engine array to the aft of the ship provides the fearsome maneuverability and acceleration that the Gallente Navy has been known to favor. Virtually all of these units in current 107 model Megathrons operate with secondary microwarp activators to allow fleet battleships additional emergency maneuverability, or to accellerate closing range on a target for the assault variant Megathron. Despite the power output of the Duvolle Standard however, reliability issues persist and the system must be carefully maintained to avoid loss of performance.
The Creodron Corporation’s contribution in the latest Megathron model Megathrons are almost entirely confined to its excellent Drone Bay. Through efficient storage arrangements and support mechanisms, a full squadron of Creodron ‘Ogre’ Drones can be stowed within the ship’s capable bay. Launched by magnetic acceleration directly into combat, some criticisms have arisen of late regarding the vulnerability of the open drone bay hangar to enemy attack. No refit is planned to address this purported vulnerability at the time of this writing.

The Hyperion is one of the largest battleships in New Eden today, and boasts the armament and weaponry to support it. The BB-L class with its 16 railguns of the largest caliber and supported by the advanced targeting precision systems of Roden Shipyards allows it to deliver the most damage of any railgun platform for all but the most extreme ranges.
Designed with armour reparation in mind, the Hyperion has the ability to unleash its nanobot reconstructors with remarkable efficiency, and its incredibly thick armour allow it to take considerable abuse before being forced to retire from the field of battle.
However, in field trials it became apparent that the vastly more expensive to build and maintain Hyperion was not going to replace the Megathron in the fleet. For one thing, the increased number of weapon systems meant greater drain on the available power grid and energy capacitors requiring the installation of a capacitor booster generator for combat situations. Although the Hyperion could install more tracking computers to increase the optimal operational range of the railgun batteries, it was designed without the space for proper moorings for the same number of magnetic field stabilizers forcing a 0.87 second recalibration after every salvo compared to the Megathron. Finally, despite being given some of the most powerful sub-light drives in the cluster, its larger size meant that it was not quite as agile as smaller battleships.
In the end the Fleet added only 200 of this class. The ship has been more widely accepted in the Pod Pilot community where it has been customized for short ranged combat. The Federation Fleet took note of this role and designed the BB-H (see below) based on these examples.

Pelargir-Class Assault Ship
A joint Effort by The Minmatar Brutor Tribe and Arda Systems Engineering, the Pelargir is a hard-hitting warship specifically made to cut holes in enemy formations. Equipped with heavy frontal armor and shielding, as well as a powerful Jovian High-Density Beam Array designed to destroy a ship in a single shot. However, it consumes a large liquid tiberium charge and takes a long time to cool off.

The Zaitsev class is powerful, long-range warship produced by Ramius Starworks. It is fitted with a powerful Arda Systems Engineering Rohirrim Drive and a multitude of advanced targeting and guidance computers, thus making it a deadly force on the battlefield.

Rokh-Class Battleship Federation Refit
Capabilities:
Introduced early in AD 23345 (Year 109), the Caldari Rokh class Battleship mounts the most sophisticated target acquisition and fire control suite in known space, as well as the most powerful shield generator available on the sub-capital starship market. The Rokh is equally adept at ranged mass engagement using either standard market or next-generation railgun turrets mounted in eight modular weapons pairings. Four of the weapon bays are standard CBD dual-purpose armament bays for fitting either turreted weapons or Missile launchers. Based on the new generation of dual-purpose mounts pioneered in the Block-3 Moa variants employed by CBD subsidiary Spacelane Patrol, they are claimed to have failure rates of less than .003 percent.
The foundation of the Rokh’s firepower lies in the next-generation Lai Dai gravitic pulse fire control center prominently featured along the ship’s starboard side. By constantly ranging a target with active gravitic pulses, the central fire control system maintains highly accurate real-time tracks on up to a dozen targets. Comparatively, even the latest Magnetometric, LADAR and Radar systems employed by starships of the other four empires suffers poorer long-range accuracy due to lightspeed lag and increased uncertainty envelopes from enemy micro-maneuvers. Critics of the Rokh, however, make note that achieving a proper firing lock and solution takes seconds longer compared to a competing vessel, such as the ubiquitous Gallente Megathron. Still, no other battleship yet offers the performance of next generation ‘T2’ munitions using far more economical standard weapons.
The shield systems of the Rokh are as revolutionary as her fire control. The Ishukone designed ‘Model A Bulwark’ Shield Generator is based on experience with previous reinforced continuous-barrier generators installed on all A-variant Merlin-class Frigates, Block 3 Moa-class Cruisers, the production model Drake-class Battlecruiser and Caldari Navy Capital Ships. Never before deployed on a Battleship-scale platform, she provides a near 25% improvement in energy dissipation from hostile fire when operated by a skilled pod pilot. No non-pod models are planned for construction as of the time of this writing.
While being extremely powerful and offering great amounts of thrust, thanks to the reliable CBD Grav-Fusion Drive, the Rokh is the least maneuverable ship of her class. However, she is about as agile as most other battleships equipped with extra armor plating. Because of her symmetrical thruster layout and mass distribution, the sophisticated mass-lightening and stabilization technology found in other asymmetrical Caldari ships are not present on the Rokh, an important factor in her enhanced internal powergrid. Her extensive power needs in operating massive 425mm Railguns and propulsion are well provided for by the new Kaalakiota Mark VII Grav-Singularity Reactor. The Mark VII’s design is based around a patent-protected decaying singularity containment module for power generation by radiation emission. The reactor is extremely massive, but well-shielded to avoid interfering with the Ishukone ‘Artifex-II’ based quantum mainframe. The new model Artifex-II is the most powerful system yet employed on a Battleship. The computer itself is compartmentalized to prevent system failure from affecting multiple subsystems, and makes use of the Caldari Navy’s extensive experience in operating redundant systems to minimize the effects of unavoidable battle damage.

The force with which this ship hits is more than sufficient to leave a trail of shattered enemies, floating around like so much lifeless debris. In just a few weeks, the Federation Navy was able to completely renovate the former Minmatar Republic's stocks of Hurricane-Class Battlecruisers. Proteus-Class Strategic Cruiser Federation Refit
The Proteus is an expensive, yet remarkably strong, warship built with a fusing of Gallente and Sleeper technology. It follows the close-combat philosophy of most Gallente vessels, but it has incredible versatility. When the Federation Navy unveiled its first model Megathron in the early 23320s (Decade 090), the ship was a revolution in the Battleship class. Through her highly modular design in two spacious forward mission package bays, the ship could be rapidly reconfigured between a close range assault ship with formidable defenses, to the premier long-range fleet combatant in space.
In the close assault role, the modern ‘Refit 107’ Megathron has only recently been supplanted by the larger and better protected Hyperion, but still remains a potent ship. Seven paired mounts for a total of fourteen turrets grant her impressive firepower, made all the more effective by the Duvolle-designed superconductor based magnetic transmission that increases the effective rate by which heavy turrets can traverse to bring themselves to bear on swifter targets. Each particle cannon is supported by powerful oscillating particle capacitors that increase the energy output of each weapon by 25% when properly regulated, offering devastating firepower that exceeds the combined salvo of even the new Caldari Rokh-class. Manufactured by Duvolle, these oscillating particle capacitors were developed concurrently with smaller-scale versions found in the commonplace Thorax-class heavy cruiser. Typically, the weapons mounted are Duvolle ‘Thunderbolt V’ Ion Cannons, or the more powerful ‘Vanquisher II’ Neutron Cannons.
Additionally, the distributed layout of the Megathron’s turrets offers maximum field of fire as well as protection in case of damage, as an unlucky internal structural hit cannot then disable a whole bank of weapons. Lightweight Crystalline Carbide armor provides a low-mass alternative to bulkier materials to maintain the Megathron’s acceleration. Despite newer battleships becoming available, the Megathron remains competitive with refits adding ablative armoring and advanced nanomaterial ‘hardeners’, improving the ship’s defensive abilities beyond those of the stock version. The armor protection is thickest around the two large modular ‘mission bays’ near the bow of the Megathron. These distinctive structures shield the small drone bay inside the main hull of the ship and provide suitable internal volume for great versatility in electronic warfare, additional magnetic field support for the ship’s armament or redundant damage control systems. The Megathron remains amongst the most versatile battleships in existence.
The Magnetic-Pulse Targeting and Acquisition FCS managing the Megathron’s primary armament are reliable and highly resilient to enemy ECM or Decoys, although not to the extent of similar Caldari Gravimetric systems. This FCS and it’s accompanying sensor system, both popular products of the Chemal Tech Corporation, operate upon detecting minute magnetic disturbances caused only by modern starships and their multitudes of electronic and power systems. Although not entirely reliable in regions cluttered by large numbers of native objects (such as asteroids), Magnetometric scanners can establish a firing lock quickly at even long ranges while immune to all but the most sophisticated electronic warfare. Coupled with the high-speed if somewhat outdated ‘Priam-A’ class central computer, the Megathron can easily track and engage more than 7 targets simultaneously.
Despite her powerfully armored flanks, the Megathron is lacking in shield protection when compared to Caldari and Republican Matari naval units. Unable to produce a continuous shield such as those found on all Caldari starships, Roden engineers produced a pulsed shield system for the Megathron. The ‘Astronome’ system offers fair protection against minor threats and frigate attack, but lacks the resilience to stand up for long. Additionally, shields interfere with current magnetometric detection systems. By using microsecond-long pulses, magnetometric detection of enemy vessels can function unimpaired. As a consequence however, overall shield strength remains weak, and the system is easily compromised by concerted enemy fire.
Battle proven and highly reliable, the main ‘Soleil Dix Neuf’(Mark 19) Fusion Reactor supplies a staggering amount of power to this fearsome ship. Hydrogen bunkerage aboard the Megathron allows operational periods of several weeks between resupply, even when the reactor is configured by a skilled engineering crew to provide greater than the stock 15500MW output. A monster Duvolle Ion Engine array to the aft of the ship provides the fearsome maneuverability and acceleration that the Gallente Navy has been known to favor. Virtually all of these units in current 107 model Megathrons operate with secondary microwarp activators to allow fleet battleships additional emergency maneuverability, or to accellerate closing range on a target for the assault variant Megathron. Despite the power output of the Duvolle Standard however, reliability issues persist and the system must be carefully maintained to avoid loss of performance.
The Creodron Corporation’s contribution in the latest Megathron model Megathrons are almost entirely confined to its excellent Drone Bay. Through efficient storage arrangements and support mechanisms, a full squadron of Creodron ‘Ogre’ Drones can be stowed within the ship’s capable bay. Launched by magnetic acceleration directly into combat, some criticisms have arisen of late regarding the vulnerability of the open drone bay hangar to enemy attack. No refit is planned to address this purported vulnerability at the time of this writing.

The Hyperion is one of the largest battleships in New Eden today, and boasts the armament and weaponry to support it. The BB-L class with its 16 railguns of the largest caliber and supported by the advanced targeting precision systems of Roden Shipyards allows it to deliver the most damage of any railgun platform for all but the most extreme ranges.
Designed with armour reparation in mind, the Hyperion has the ability to unleash its nanobot reconstructors with remarkable efficiency, and its incredibly thick armour allow it to take considerable abuse before being forced to retire from the field of battle.
However, in field trials it became apparent that the vastly more expensive to build and maintain Hyperion was not going to replace the Megathron in the fleet. For one thing, the increased number of weapon systems meant greater drain on the available power grid and energy capacitors requiring the installation of a capacitor booster generator for combat situations. Although the Hyperion could install more tracking computers to increase the optimal operational range of the railgun batteries, it was designed without the space for proper moorings for the same number of magnetic field stabilizers forcing a 0.87 second recalibration after every salvo compared to the Megathron. Finally, despite being given some of the most powerful sub-light drives in the cluster, its larger size meant that it was not quite as agile as smaller battleships.
In the end the Fleet added only 200 of this class. The ship has been more widely accepted in the Pod Pilot community where it has been customized for short ranged combat. The Federation Fleet took note of this role and designed the BB-H (see below) based on these examples.

Rokh-Class Battleship Federation Refit
Capabilities:
Introduced early in AD 23345 (Year 109), the Caldari Rokh class Battleship mounts the most sophisticated target acquisition and fire control suite in known space, as well as the most powerful shield generator available on the sub-capital starship market. The Rokh is equally adept at ranged mass engagement using either standard market or next-generation railgun turrets mounted in eight modular weapons pairings. Four of the weapon bays are standard CBD dual-purpose armament bays for fitting either turreted weapons or Missile launchers. Based on the new generation of dual-purpose mounts pioneered in the Block-3 Moa variants employed by CBD subsidiary Spacelane Patrol, they are claimed to have failure rates of less than .003 percent.
The foundation of the Rokh’s firepower lies in the next-generation Lai Dai gravitic pulse fire control center prominently featured along the ship’s starboard side. By constantly ranging a target with active gravitic pulses, the central fire control system maintains highly accurate real-time tracks on up to a dozen targets. Comparatively, even the latest Magnetometric, LADAR and Radar systems employed by starships of the other four empires suffers poorer long-range accuracy due to lightspeed lag and increased uncertainty envelopes from enemy micro-maneuvers. Critics of the Rokh, however, make note that achieving a proper firing lock and solution takes seconds longer compared to a competing vessel, such as the ubiquitous Gallente Megathron. Still, no other battleship yet offers the performance of next generation ‘T2’ munitions using far more economical standard weapons.
The shield systems of the Rokh are as revolutionary as her fire control. The Ishukone designed ‘Model A Bulwark’ Shield Generator is based on experience with previous reinforced continuous-barrier generators installed on all A-variant Merlin-class Frigates, Block 3 Moa-class Cruisers, the production model Drake-class Battlecruiser and Caldari Navy Capital Ships. Never before deployed on a Battleship-scale platform, she provides a near 25% improvement in energy dissipation from hostile fire when operated by a skilled pod pilot. No non-pod models are planned for construction as of the time of this writing.
While being extremely powerful and offering great amounts of thrust, thanks to the reliable CBD Grav-Fusion Drive, the Rokh is the least maneuverable ship of her class. However, she is about as agile as most other battleships equipped with extra armor plating. Because of her symmetrical thruster layout and mass distribution, the sophisticated mass-lightening and stabilization technology found in other asymmetrical Caldari ships are not present on the Rokh, an important factor in her enhanced internal powergrid. Her extensive power needs in operating massive 425mm Railguns and propulsion are well provided for by the new Kaalakiota Mark VII Grav-Singularity Reactor. The Mark VII’s design is based around a patent-protected decaying singularity containment module for power generation by radiation emission. The reactor is extremely massive, but well-shielded to avoid interfering with the Ishukone ‘Artifex-II’ based quantum mainframe. The new model Artifex-II is the most powerful system yet employed on a Battleship. The computer itself is compartmentalized to prevent system failure from affecting multiple subsystems, and makes use of the Caldari Navy’s extensive experience in operating redundant systems to minimize the effects of unavoidable battle damage.

Hurricane-class Battlecruiser Federation Navy refit.
The force with which this ship hits is more than sufficient to leave a trail of shattered enemies, floating around like so much lifeless debris. An adaptable vessel, it has enough turret hardpoints for a full-scale assault while remaining versatile enough to allow for plenty of missile fire, and has both sufficient speed to outrun its enemies and sufficient capacitor charge to outlast them. As the most popular Minmatar Battlecruiser, the Hurricane was an obvious choice for refit. In just a few weeks, the Federation Navy was able to completely renovate the former Minmatar Republic's stocks of Hurricane-Class Battlecruisers. Increasing their firepower and adding heavier armor plating, while not sacrificing their trademark speed, was one of the R&D's accomplishments during the refit process.

Hammerhead-Class Medium Cruiser
Based on an ancient hull design found in Roach's archives, Garan and an R&D team rebuilt this class from the keel up. Fitting it with modern weapons, Mithril composite armor, Arda Systems Engineering Engines and Caldari shields. They managed to make an effective medium cruiser in a rather compact platform.

The Free Peoples Privateers are a large organized Mercenary alliance Possessing Thousands of war ships purchased from the markets of New Eden and modified by The Free Peoples Navy for a hefty profit. Once modified the privateers have free reign to attack enemies of the Free Peoples and any pirates who threaten the trade lanes. They are allowed salvage rights to battle sites the freedom to keep what ever they plunder from enemy territory and bounties on any pirate or enemy vessel they destroy.

The Free Peoples Irregulars are a Faction of Patriotic citizens who are either to old to fight in the military or have been honorably discharged from the service. It is also not uncommon for young men and women seeking fame and glory to join their ranks. They are government funded and protect the mining interests and convoys of the free peoples navy. These Grizzled warriors are seen by the people as heroes who refuse to give up the fight to protect their home lands. They also receive private funding from several Mega corporations Such as Event Horizon the Primary star ship engine manufacturer in free peoples space and Arda systems engineering witch produces shields, engines, ships and targeting computers for the free peoples navy. They run effective security for these companies and can be called upon as reserves for the navy they frequently coordinate with the Privateers and the two organizations could draft together a rag tag but effective fighting force to defend the holdings of their government in a pinch.

Some times Jokingly referred to as the Oversize Horny B-wing by free peoples pilots This vessel is not to be trifled with In Sansha hand Hundreds of free peoples Vessels have been lost to these Mighty Vessels long ranged fire and it was not uncommon to hear of entire merchant convoys being wiped out by a pair of these vessels with a small escort of Succubus frigates. They served as a constant reminder to the Free Peoples Navy to be weary of things that go Bzzt in the night. Now many of these vessels have been captured and Sold to the Privateers and commissioned by the irregulars they have been highly modified but share several traits with the Phantasm such as their Accuracy and double damage dealing ability.

Hyperion-class battle ship
The Hyperion is one of the few vessels imported from New Eden to retain its Battle Ship status it gained its fame when The Irregulars were sent to destroy the Renegade Free Peoples Star Defender Red Blade that had gone pirate and caused the deaths of thousands of innocents. The Hyperion Class Battle Ship Corsair's Bane
Intercepted the Renegade star defender and a knife point range battle ensued after a long brawl the Corsair's Bane emerged victorious having either through sheer skill or blind luck cracked the reactor housing of the red Blade's reactor Causing it to go critical. But even more impressive was the sheer resilience of the Hyperion even though out gunned the Hyperion's powerful armor repair systems kept the vessel in combat. This lead to the Awarding of the rank of Admiral to the vessels captain Vasili Dudov a young man who had been expelled from the Navy academy he is now the leader of the Irregulars fleet at the age of 26 years old the youngest admiral in free peoples history.

The Hyperion is one of the largest battleships in New Eden today, and boasts the armament and weaponry to support it. The BB-L class with its 16 railguns of the largest caliber and supported by the advanced targeting precision systems of Roden Shipyards allows it to deliver the most damage of any railgun platform for all but the most extreme ranges.
Designed with armour reparation in mind, the Hyperion has the ability to unleash its nanobot reconstructors with remarkable efficiency, and its incredibly thick armour allow it to take considerable abuse before being forced to retire from the field of battle.
However, in field trials it became apparent that the vastly more expensive to build and maintain Hyperion was not going to replace the Megathron in the fleet. For one thing, the increased number of weapon systems meant greater drain on the available power grid and energy capacitors requiring the installation of a capacitor booster generator for combat situations. Although the Hyperion could install more tracking computers to increase the optimal operational range of the railgun batteries, it was designed without the space for proper moorings for the same number of magnetic field stabilizers forcing a 0.87 second recalibration after every salvo compared to the Megathron. Finally, despite being given some of the most powerful sub-light drives in the cluster, its larger size meant that it was not quite as agile as smaller battleships.
In the end the Fleet added only 200 of this class. The ship has been more widely accepted in the Pod Pilot community where it has been customized for short ranged combat. The Federation Fleet took note of this role and designed the BB-H (see below) based on these examples.

Some times Jokingly referred to as the Oversize Horny B-wing by free peoples pilots This vessel is not to be trifled with In Sansha hand Hundreds of free peoples Vessels have been lost to these Mighty Vessels long ranged fire and it was not uncommon to hear of entire merchant convoys being wiped out by a pair of these vessels with a small escort of Succubus frigates. They served as a constant reminder to the Free Peoples Navy to be weary of things that go Bzzt in the night. Now many of these vessels have been captured and Sold to the Privateers and commissioned by the irregulars they have been highly modified but share several traits with the Phantasm such as their Accuracy and double damage dealing ability.

Hyperion-class battle ship
The Hyperion is one of the few vessels imported from New Eden to retain its Battle Ship status it gained its fame when The Irregulars were sent to destroy the Renegade Free Peoples Star Defender Red Blade that had gone pirate and caused the deaths of thousands of innocents. The Hyperion Class Battle Ship Corsair's Bane
Intercepted the Renegade star defender and a knife point range battle ensued after a long brawl the Corsair's Bane emerged victorious having either through sheer skill or blind luck cracked the reactor housing of the red Blade's reactor Causing it to go critical. But even more impressive was the sheer resilience of the Hyperion even though out gunned the Hyperion's powerful armor repair systems kept the vessel in combat. This lead to the Awarding of the rank of Admiral to the vessels captain Vasili Dudov a young man who had been expelled from the Navy academy he is now the leader of the Irregulars fleet at the age of 26 years old the youngest admiral in free peoples history.

The Hyperion is one of the largest battleships in New Eden today, and boasts the armament and weaponry to support it. The BB-L class with its 16 railguns of the largest caliber and supported by the advanced targeting precision systems of Roden Shipyards allows it to deliver the most damage of any railgun platform for all but the most extreme ranges.
Designed with armour reparation in mind, the Hyperion has the ability to unleash its nanobot reconstructors with remarkable efficiency, and its incredibly thick armour allow it to take considerable abuse before being forced to retire from the field of battle.
However, in field trials it became apparent that the vastly more expensive to build and maintain Hyperion was not going to replace the Megathron in the fleet. For one thing, the increased number of weapon systems meant greater drain on the available power grid and energy capacitors requiring the installation of a capacitor booster generator for combat situations. Although the Hyperion could install more tracking computers to increase the optimal operational range of the railgun batteries, it was designed without the space for proper moorings for the same number of magnetic field stabilizers forcing a 0.87 second recalibration after every salvo compared to the Megathron. Finally, despite being given some of the most powerful sub-light drives in the cluster, its larger size meant that it was not quite as agile as smaller battleships.
In the end the Fleet added only 200 of this class. The ship has been more widely accepted in the Pod Pilot community where it has been customized for short ranged combat. The Federation Fleet took note of this role and designed the BB-H (see below) based on these examples.
