Sovereinkunngsrul [af] Alsland (SA) is a Northern Kingdom located on the large island of Alsland. The proud nation of Alsland has it's roots in ancient history. The first Gal'Gai settlers came to the island after being pushed out of their homeland by an unknown force. Once they arrived, they found a promised land: uninhabited, with lush valleys and majestic mountains brimming with natural resources. But it came at a price: the living in Alsland can be hard if one does not take the necessary precautions.

In addition to Gal'Gai the SA also harbors Giants, or Jotuns under it's banner. They do not inhabit Alsland, but the smaller Jotunsøy (Giant's Island), which lays off the coast of Alsland.

A view of Northern Alsland, a land of legend and myth. Northern Alsland is sparsely populated, but at one time was where most Gal'Gai lived. It is unknown what caused the shift from North to South.

Kultur

Soveireinkunngsrulann Alsland has a very homogeneous culture; save for the Jotuns, the only other race under the SA banner besides the Gal'Gai. Alsland is, however, quite a large island, and this allows for slight differences in culture and language across the land.

Vjestilandann

The western part of Alsland tends to be harsher and much more cold-shoulder than the rest, owing to the fact that it is mostly mountains, and survival is seen as more important that frivolous friendships and lighthearted talk.

The Vjestidialekt (West-Dialect) is characterized by the deletion of the second -n in definite prefixes, and the substitution of 'ao' instead of 'å'
I.e: Dåttirinn = The daughter --> Daottirin
