well, he has an energy blade capable of cutting through solid steel, I'm relatively sure that he could block simple projectiles with it as easily as lasers. Matter of the fact, in the EU they pretty much prove this point, so...
BUT, the fact he's part cyborg, plus the fact he's a nexus of the force, PLUS the fact he never has shown the full extent of his power puts the ball in Vader's court
IN any, what about Vader's army? Don't forget he was more or less the commander of the GALACTIC EMPIRE which has a large military organization spanning the galaxy with plenty of tech and hardware to put Stalin to shame.

sure he can block a bunch of visibly slow laser rounds but to block the amount of bullets that the entire russian army could fire at him...

plus he's not invincible or anything, the russians could just nuke his position if they were so inclined

Ridley is the space dragon in my forum avatar, Samus' primary villain, and the Most recurrent antagonist in the metroid series.
Ridley is considered a "space dragon" and is physically a very imposing threat. the combination of vicious claws, Wings capable of flight, a large, fanged maw, and an indestructible and incredibly deadly tail are only matched by Ridley's incredible endurance, able to take many hits from Samus' advanced missile launcher or charged beam before finally being downed.
besides his physical abilities, Ridley is capable of firing fire from his mouth, in the form of a constant stream or fireballs.
despite his fierce and monsterous looks, Ridley is quite intelligent, and is in fact a major leader of the space pirates.

Okay then, I still say Bourne because the dragon has never won a fight

Besides, not winning to samus is akin to losing to chuck norris; ain't no shame in it

Bourne not only mixes pure win with brains, amnesia, insane fighting skills and humanity, but he also has epic car chases, stunts and 3 damn fine movies.

Ripley's just a dragon. Dragon's are a dime a dozen. Yawn.

This is no popularity contest, it's a "who would win" fight.

Besides, Ridley is cooler anyway

Well if it's who would win a fight then definitely Bourne.

I gotta disagree, for one reason
Ridley = take 100 missiles from the year 3000 to destroy
Bourne= with significantly less powerful tech than that. let alone resources.

Dude...Bourne's the guy who takes people out with towels and magazines. He specializes in lack of resources. Trust me, he would find Ridley's weakness and exploit it by letting Ridley deal back the damage to himself. Whatever attack Ridley does to Bourne, he would find a way of directing it back to Ridley.

Regardless of circumstance in any scenario, the fact remains that the villain/hero in question is obviously not going to be easy to take down.

That being said, Ridley is probably a lot tougher in terms of endurance than a human body.
That also being said, said human is probably craftier than Ridley.
That also being said again, there is no definite yes or no type answer to the problem at hand. Probability suggests around a 40-60 to 60-40 chance of victory or defeat of the person in question. In said probability, circumstances do count.

Well, Darkwing's analysis might work with the average creature, but the fact is that ridley has never been known to be stupid. Ridley was the space pirate leader, and the title was not just a simple title. As for ridley, his attacks are mostly physical, with a few blasts of flame thrown in.
I'm not sure what bourne could do to redirect those. I suppose he might be able to somehow direct ridleys flames back at him, hough whether or not he is resistant to heat, or his own flames, is not documented.
As far as known vulnerabilities, I have yet to see a true vulnerability. The main challenge with ridley compared to the other bosses in most games, is rather than being mostly invulnerable, while having a few predictable and dodgable attacks, and easily taken down at his weak point, is his attacks are basic, and while he can be damaged anywhere on his body, it takes many, many hits to bring him down. It's a rather straight battle with dodging and attacking, and there aren't too many key weakpoints or vulnerabilities.

That's one I can easily give to Anakin, not just because of anakins experience and abilities far outstretching that luke, but ismply because the kid was still a little "wet behind the ears" so to speak, while anakin definitely has the needed warrior mentality to win.
