It's skinning time

Well, with all the changes about to occur and whatnot around here, it's time that the forum got a new look.

So, as some of you know, it's gonna get pretty ugly (and white) to start off with. I will take criticism and critique when I ask for it, otherwise you'll just have to hold onto your opinions.

Ha ha, no no, this is the default PHPBB3 skin (which I know Shem knows). Trust me, it'll look quite different from this in the coming weeks, however, this is where it all starts!

Well, I saved the old skin as a back-up, just in case.

As did I, I pretty much always export the skins so that I have a directory of them

mightn't I ask why we don't simply use the old skin until we're ready for the new skin, rather than spending weeks looking like the dictionary definition of "terrible"?

Because it's easier for me to work from the basic version of this skin, with no custom CSS or anything like that. Plus, FM only allows the option of one skin at a time and it has to be viewable, so basically you have to see it as i work on it. If it were a true PHPBB3 board, I could build it and nobody see it until it's applied to the boards, however, this is not a true PHPBB3 board. It's close, but not it exactly

ok thx, and are you making multiple skins for the gathering? if so you should post the pictures of the skins and we should have a democratic vote. If not then there will be no vote obviously.

But I liked this forum before because the colors were subdued --- They were there, but they didn't unnecessarily distract. Despite this, if you looked at the background, it was still pretty cool, but it didn't take away from my forum reading, as the "in-progress' skin here tends to.

dont want to be impatient just really want a mentall picture of what the skin will look like.

I've only ever designed one skin for the Gathering which was the one you guys knew. Also, my WIP skin you will see on the board as it happens. As for pics of other skins I've designed on other sites, you'll have to wait as I have things higher up on my priorities list
