Using ipi recorder, (a trial program) and some mdl files from my hl2 installation I was able to make a proof of concept motion capture video, soon I will have motionbuilder from autodesk and then I will be able to animate a full "episode" of ex nihilo with motion the motion capture hardware I am using.

a second test is rendering now, at midnight motionbuilder begins downloading and then I can capture these with textures
