Okay, hold on here.....ship classes should be kept simple, I.E. Fighter/Bomber, Corvette, Frigate, etc. Keep it simple. Tech will need to be discussed further. Colonization is a bit stechty, though, it would be similiar to claiming it, basicly, a fleet sent to such and such, or such and such joins you.

basic ship classes and basic ship vs ship veunerabilities IE
Fighter < Corvette
Fighter > Bomber
but numbers need to be inclused like
"i send 300 bombers to attack a squad of fighters" the bombers would likely win

i suggested to rain that
we all get our own starting planets 3 or 5 each
a custom race ( if we want)
we each make our own tech that can not be uber or super sept for super weapons
