Reeds just kept on whistling as guards and crew cleared out of his path. Eventually, he stopped at a door, the label addressing it as 'Science Lab 2A.' He smiled as he opened the door and Lae saw that the science lab was not small by any means. It was massive, in fact, taking up at least five rooms and two floors entirely on its own. It also seemed to host a massive range of equipment, some of which were entirely foreign to him. With all of the technology, equipment, and stores here, one could only wonder what Reeds' intention was with this lab.
He rolled the cart up next to two others and then proceeded to rummage around for a datapad. "Sit down, my fine lab rat." He said friendly still as he finally found his desired object, turning it own and turning toward Lae, a mischievous grin on his face.

"Illuvatar is the creator of Arda and all life on it." Gwaihir said
"To be more Correct Gwaihir Illuvitar created Arda but his children the Valar shaped it." Roach interjected.

Re: Chapter Two
Addrson: I see. He is your deity, then...interesting. Well, my friends, if we don't have any other negotiations to conduct, Fosca and I must go. There's a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it. *He rapidly taps on his PDA and then ejects a small piece of holo-paper from it, which displays a set of numbers separated by slashes.* This is the location of Coturnicidae, the first avian colony. Please take the ships there; the Spirit of Aves will then escort them back to Aves. Thank you, Admiral Roach, for everything. And if you need any help with the peace process, we will provide it to best of our ability.
*The pair takes their leave, and the Hiigaran destroyer leaves Ramius soon afterward.*

(What, Darthme, I don't warrant your diplomatic attention? )
--Coturnicidae--
*Avian warships--former airships from the 500-Year War, refit with FTL drives for spaceflight--are waiting for the promised ships and escort them back to Aves, where the inhabitants busily set about refitting them to suits their biology.*
--Palaven--
*A Rachni ship the size of a frigate is already orbiting Palaven when the Federation arrives. The Pyotr the Great is quickly herded to a berth as far away from the frigate as possible, and an unfamiliar turian comes aboard shortly afterward.*
Chellick: Look, technically we're still at war even though there's a ceasefire in effect. The longer I take here, the more likely you'll be shot out of the sky, so let's keep this brief. I'm Chellick Trakus, assistant to High Primarch Talos Fedorian as he tries to bring this war to a close. Pleased to meet you.

The Diplomat Is directed to the space port at Annúminas when he arrives at Arda.*
--Palaven--
*Standing Before him Trakus would see Roach Clad in full mithril armor his lightsaber hanging from is belt his left shoulder covered by a dark green shoulder cape. Kane to Roach's left clad in a simple black robe with a pendant bearing the Nod Scorpion tail emblem. And Putin to roach's Right wearing a green Tsarist era military uniform with a blue sash covered with metals and campaign ribbons a bright silver rapier with a sheathe embroidered in gold hanging from his side hi hand resting lazily on it hilt.*
Roach Extends his armored hand and shakes Trakus' hand.
"I am high Admiral Tom Roach of the Free Peoples Federation." He indicates the robed man to his left "This is Kane Spiritual leader of the Brotherhood Of Nod." *Kane bows slightly* Roach indicates the man to his right clad in a green Imperial Tsar's Uniform. "This Is Tsar Vladimir Putin Spiritual leader of the people of Ramius." *Putin stands as he had been his hand lazily resting on the hilt of his Rapier and acknowledges the turian with a slight nod.*
"We are the federations Immortal council we serve as the voice of eyes and ears of our peoples and as long as we are here no power you posses could remove this ship from orbit" Putin said in half challenge.
"Peace Vladimir we came to broker peace not to fight." Roach says placing his hand on the shorter mans shoulder.
"My apologies brother." Putin replies relaxing a bit.
"I understand you have already received our diplomatic team?" Kane asked.

The Ancient city of Annúminas sits on lake Nenuial the massive almost inland sea glitters in the light of the mid morning sun clearly visible from the space port. On the island of Calenglad in the lake close to the shore sits Tinnudir the settlement that has become a Jedi haven several jedi could be barley seen from that distance practicing on the shores of the island while some swam in the clear waters Annúminas it self is a city of glittering white stone the original ramparts and walls still in place and on the surrounding hills more modern building dominate the land scape they stand in stark contrast to the great stone structures of Tinnudir and Annúminas. across a long stone bridge leading from the city to the landing space port that was built out into the lake an Middle aged man dressed in a long white robe approached flanked by two wardens of Annúminas clad in their sliver and violet armor a homage to the old kingdom of Arnor.
As the Middle aged man approached his features became more clear he was tall with hair as black as the night sky and a full well kept beard. His features were warm and inviting hanging from a the belt around the waist of his robe were a lightsaber, data pad and comlink when he finally reached his guest he bowed deeply and the Wardens stood at attention looking as if they had suddenly turned to statues.

Re: Chapter Two
--Ultra Vires--
The diplomat, Charon Teklus, is greeted by a Stardust class Cruiser and three fighter wings as escorts. The cruiser announces that they were expecting the diplomat and hurry him/her along to the nearest docking station, where they will be shuttled down to Sector 4 of Imperial City, where the government resides and where they may be accommodated accordingly.

(We'll say he went to Aves.)
*As Par Xarov's ship arrives at the perimeter of Aves orbit, he finds himself before a wounded, sickly world. Most of its landmass ranges from dull brown to maroon to festering black, and its oceans exude a diseased grey tint. Scars and craters pockmark the surface of the continents. On the nighttime side, Xarov can see the eerie glow of radiation across wide swathes of the continents and oceans, and strange fires burning. Steely glints visible from orbit hint at massive graveyards of war machines from horrendous battles.*
*However, even in this picture of devastation, there is still hope. A few small patches of green and blue still exist in regions on roughly the opposite sides of the planet from each other, with the eastern one making up 8% of the land and the western 12%. Other dots of pristine land exist outside of these areas--clear signs of recovery beginning. On the nighttime side, several of the fires grow dimmer every few minutes, and a few patches of the poisonous radiation also gradually fade as Xarov watches.*
*The healing is not just on the planet. Aves also is seeing a small but steady amount of space traffic to and from the larger green regions. Several flights of cruiser-size warships patrol the orbital regions, and a few space stations are under construction by strange-looking vessels employing beams of energy, which seem to convert into matter to form the stations.*
*Xarov's ship soon attracts notice. One of the cruisers from before breaks off to approach it, and a message comes up directly from the planet in somewhat halting Basic.*
Aves Orbital Traffic Control (wary, but not hostile): Unidentified ship, you are in territory of the Galactic Avian Union. Please state your business.
--Palaven--
*Chellick is not rattled by Putin's words.* Chellick: Whether we could blast you out of the sky isn't the issue...not yet, at least. *To Kane's question.* Yes, we have. If you will please follow me, we can avoid a diplomatic incident. I will tell you everything I can on the way.
*Chellick leads them out of the ship to the docks proper, and then to a shuttle that takes the entire party down to Palaven's capital Cipritine. As the shuttle flies, the turian fills them in.*
Chellick: The Rachni were here way before your team got here, being represented by their Queen Tiamat herself. She must have known that coming here personally on behalf of her people would impress the Primarchs, and thankfully it did. Primarch Fedorian himself is against the war, and your diplomats were also helping the process quite a bit until we learned about the hostages that the Rachni are holding. Shrewd move on their part, but it had some...how to put it...unintended consequences. Despite the Rachni's best assurances of their honored treatment as prisoners of war, they pissed off a lot of people. The Primarch of Gahlven may have been killed in that [censored]-fest back at New Song, but a significant number of the Primarchs are still set on war. Thankfully, before the situation could get worse, Primarch Fedorian called a break. That's how things stand now. *Pause.* What do you make of it, gentlemen?

Putin: Would having the Rachni transfer the prisoners to free peoples custody pending their release ease the minds of your people?
Roach: I would not be willing to release any prisoners of war in exchange for anything less than a full withdraw of all Turian vessels from the Rachni and free peoples border we could then establish a Demilitarized zone it would give my people piece of mind as large as our navy is its to spread out policing the entire Border trade is suffering to pirates and raiders because i had to pull the Privateer fleet in to police the borders.
Kane: Also a show of faith of some kind from the Turians is needed public opinion is very low amongst the populace our people see your government as traitors. We start out in a military cooperation and the minuet you discovered the rachni who we made our allies you star fleet was burning through ftl to get to New Song. Though as i Understand it that was made difficult for you something about false intelligence and mass shadow fields appearing herding you into Blood Raider territory I heard? Most unfortunate.
*roach rolls his eyes at Kane's slight boast*
Roach: The point is our people do not trust yours and though we may be able to sway their hearts there are things you can do to put them at ease and show you want the peace process to work.

*The shuttle lands and the passengers disembark, heading for the Primarch Assemblage. Chellick's eyes flash angrily at Kane's words, but otherwise he remains calm.*
Chellick: I don't know how you did, but let's say it was you. That was a good tactic strategically--it bought you and the Rachni some extra time before our fleets reached New Song--but in terms of politics it was the stupidest possible move you could have made. You don't understand how our people think, Councilors. We aren't fazed by even the most terrible of defeats--it only hardens our resolve to achieve total victory. We do not just intend to defeat an enemy; we make sure they never become a threat again. That is why the Primarchs declared war on the Rachni; because those who supported it believed they could become a threat. That is what the Rachni, and in turn your own people, must do if this war is to end: Convince the Primarchs, and through them the rest of the Hierarchy, that neither of you will ever threaten us again. *He sighs.* It will be hard...but it is the only way for there to be peace.

Re: Chapter Two
Roach: You do not understand how our people think we are a society built on trust and honor. You have not only broken our peoples trust but you have also made your selves look dishonorable by vowing to destroy a nearly extinct species that has not been a threat in the galaxy for 2 millennium. They were never a threat to your people nor were we we simply wished peace and partner ship instead you came with war and now hundreds of our brave soldiers have been lost. Do you see now why my people are not quite so fond of yours? Ill be frank your government bit off far more than it can chew when it engaged us i have no desire for this to become a bloody drawn out war with millions of casualties if i did I would not be here right now. My people see the threat the Primitus pose and as long as there is a greater threat to our society the threat you pose has become more of a nuisance we shall have peace or we shall all be destroyed the path is clear it is our job to make your government see this that is why we three immortals have come here now let us meet with your leaders and see if we cant get somewhere at least.

Chellick (quietly): The Rachni were a threat, once. (Normal tone) As for the Primitus, they're another issue altogether. I'm not even entirely sure they exist. That may sound trite to you, Councilors, but we already have the Reapers to worry about. I'd rather focus on one galactic apocalypse-inducing threat at a time. *Pause.* The Primarch requested to see you when you arrived. Let's go--we still have some time before the negotiations resume.
*They enter the Assemblage building and take an elevator to the sixth floor, drawing angry looks from the other turians they pass. Once out, Chellick leads the Immortal Council through several more doors and corridors until he stops at before a door at the end of one last passageway. Chellick knocks.*
Primarch Fedorian: Enter!
*The door slides open, admitting Chellick with his charges and closes behind them. The room beyond is sparsely-decorated but comfortable enough, and waiting for them stands a turian with face-paint similar to Garrus but much darker skin. The man brightens as they enter and he strides toward them.*
Fedorian: Ah, good, Chellick. These are our esteemed guests?
Chellick: Yes, sir. I brought them as soon as possible.
Fedorian: Well done, Chellick. Take a moment, and then I need you to go get Tiamat from the guest wing. We don't have a lot of time as it is.
*Chellick's face betrays only the tiniest bit of annoyance at being sent away, but nods.* Chellick: Right, away sir. *He leaves the room. Meanwhile, the Primarch turns to his guests.*
Fedorian: Allow me to officially welcome you to Palaven, representatives of the Federation. My name is Talos Fedorian and I am proud to serve as this world's Primarch. *He holds out his three-fingered hand in an obvious gesture.* And you are...?

"Thank you for you and your people's gracious hospitality, Jedi Brusilov." Kharrov replies. "As you may know, I am here to learn about your people's culture, government, and galactic stance. I will also trade information with you about my own people's customs and culture."

"This is the Diplomatic Cruiser Stenn of the Second Reformed Imperium." Pav says with a confident voice. "We have been sent here by our High Senate to learn about your culture. Other diplomats like myself have been sent to every other major sovereignty in the galaxy. If you scan our craft, you will find no weapons."

~Ultra Vires~
Charon's ship, the Jotkunn follows the cruiser to the station. He then waits for another diplomat to greet him once in Imperial City.

As Kharrov walks with him, nodding as they go. "Our own Imperium has three races under it's name, the Gal'Gai, which I am, the Marentans, and the Krijala. (Kir-YA-la)." He informs Jedi Brusilov. "How many differing races make up the Federation?"

The shuttle passes by skyscrapers of elegant design, an entire metropolis built upon a relatively small island chain in comparison. The size and beauty are matched by the seemingly endless gardens below, and clear skies, no haze like Coruscant. As the shuttle lands in the sector, it would be upon a raised platform, on the edge of the city sector. It was overlooking the ocean, just as the sun was setting. The background was that of wilderness, and vague ruins of long-past wars that desolated the surface.
As he would leave the shuttle, an escort, with a diplomat, as perceivable, arrives. Four honor guards, dressed in golden, Baroque style armor, which, although looked ineffective, were exactly the opposite. The diplomat was different, however. With four arms, well built, and looking like a humanoidal cat with white fur, he was certainly different. As he approached he bowed to the other diplomat. "Welcome to Ultra Vires, capitol of the Imperial Sovereignty, Charon of the Second Reformed Imperium. I am Karaed, of the same status as you are." He spoke politely, as well as cleanly in the Galactic Basic language. He was well experienced with these sort of happenings.

Fedorian (at Roach's remark): You're right, Admiral Roach, we have, but there wasn't a lot of time to talk, unfortunately. Anyway, even though we're at war, I'm very pleased to meet all of you. Chellick said he gave you the basic overview of the situation, so I'd rather wait until Tiamat gets here to explain the rest. Please, have a seat if you like. (Under his breath) Maybe I should have sent Chellick an escort. Who knows what the crazies out there will do...
*After several tense minutes, a knock finally sounds at the door.*
Fedorian (relieved): Enter!
*It slides open once again, admitting Chellick with Tiamat in tow. The Rachni Queen is so large she can barely fit through the entryway, but she manages to squeeze through.*
Chellick: As promised, Primarch.
Fedorian: Thank you, Chellick. Next time I'm sending an escort--no telling what could happen outside of our more "civil" chambers of political discourse...
Tiamat: Are we in danger?
*Fedorian hesitates, and then laughs...a little too forcefully.* Fedorian: Oh, no, your Majesty, of course not! Not even the most hateful turian would murder an enemy under diplomatic immunity!
*Pause.* But I forget myself. We barely have any time as it is--let's begin. Listen closely to what I have to say, now.
Garrus Vakarian is no longer High Primarch--he resigned in disgust over the others' warmongering. I now fill his position along with being Primarch of Palaven. I am personally against this stupid war and I was from the beginning. We never saw what you did, your Grace--we have no quarrel with you. Many of the other Primarchs feel the same way, but the "war" faction is still numerous enough in the Assemblage that they can tie up the peace proceedings until war seems like the only option.
It sounds bad, I know, but we have several key things we can use to our advantage. Chellick?
Chellick: I did some digging and learned that the war faction is essentially split into two camps. First are the more numerous provincials, who favor war as a "safe" option (but not wholesale genocide of your people, your Majesty) and thus provide provincial support--hence the name. The second group is the radicals who advocate the complete extermination of the Rachni and no less.
Fedorian: There's no changing the minds of the radicals, but the provincials are the key to moving this peace process forward. If we could persuade enough of them to change sides, the war faction's power to tie up negotiations would be greatly reduced. What is your take on all of this, Councilors?
--Aves--
Aves Traffic Control: *Pause.* Scanning...confirmed. No weapons found. Stenn command, we're sorry that we don't have any orbital stations for you to dock at yet. We're prepping a berth for you on the planet itself. Cruisers Lagopus and Gruinae, escort the Stenn to Aves City. Fore Admiral Ackbar has requested to see your representative.
*The cruiser from before is joined by a second, and they escort the Stenn towards the planet. After atmospheric re-entry, Xarov is treated to a much more serious view of the devastation. The sickly gray oceans are choked by algae blooms and toxic waste, and he can even see the countless avian corpses strewn amidst the charred hulks of war machines in the wastelands. The cruisers lead the Stenn over ruined cities as well, with many looking far older than others. A long time passes before the images of ruin and despair are replaced by hope as the ships leave the war-scarred landscape and enter the verdant habitable lands. A huge city soon looms up in the distance, its arcology buildings gleaming in the light of the planet's three moons. High above the metropolis, great floating platforms host several different types of ships as they come and go. It is to one of these platforms that the cruisers direct the Stenn, and they return back to Aves orbit once it is docked. As Xarov disembarks, he and whoever comes with him are met on the platform by a very strange assortment of creatures indeed.*
*The creatures bear a strong outward resemblance to various bird species on the planet Earth, but are about 66% larger than their counterparts and clearly sentient, their eyes shining with keen intelligence and their bodies adorned with various pieces of clothing. The one in the lead wears a mantle or cloak of sorts around its neck, with a high and ornate metal collar accentuating it. Many medals also decorate its chest, seemingly clipped straight onto the feathers there, and it sports some kind of sheaths around its scaly legs. Finally, many scars adorn the creature's body, crisscrossing its beak and talons and running lines through its feathers. A nasty slash over its face seems to exaggerate its fierce yellow eyes.*
*The creature regards Xarov for a very brief moment and then strides towards him, stopping directly in front of him, and opens its beak.* Ackbar (Basic): We don't often get visitors here at Aves...not yet, at least. *Pause.* Allow me to introduce myself: I am Fore Admiral Ackbar of the Galactic Avian Union and leader of the avian race. Who do I have the pleasure of speaking to? *He holds out his foot in an obvious gesture.*

Primarch: No worry, Mr. Roach. Attacking a diplomatic guest is bad enough--*He raises his voice.*--ATTACKING HER WHEN SHE IS UNDER THE PERSONAL PROTECTION OF THE PRIMARCH WOULD BE TREASON PUNISHABLE BY DEATH!
*Pause.* Now, where was I? Yes. Before we can get the peace process rolling, we have to cripple the war faction. Chellick, tell them what you found.
Chellick: I did a more thorough investigation and learned that over 80% of the prisoners hail from territories under the provincials' jurisdiction. This is our big break. (to Tiamat) Either you were lucky because so many ships destroyed over your planet had turians from those planets, or you're one of the most cunning people I've ever yet. I don't know which is better.
Tiamat: I believe the proper response is "Thank you."
Chellick: Maybe. Anyway, if we return enough prisoners to the provincials, they'll break with the radicals. You wouldn't have to give them all back--just enough to tip them over the edge. Then you could release the rest once the peace is decided.
Tiamat: You are cunning as well, Minstrel Chellick. I will abide by this.
Fedorian: Excellent! Councilors, we must return to the negotiations. Is there anything else you want to add?

Xarov, a rather tall humanoid, warily takes the foot. He is unsure whether to shake it however, and waits for Ackbar to start the handshake. (That was what you were going for, right?)
"My name is Pav Xarov undul Karoja, a diplomat from the SRI. It is a pleasure to meet you, Admiral." Pav's crew all proceed to shake the Admiral's foot.

Diplomat Teklus bows jerkily; bowing is not used as a greeting in Gal'Gai culture.
"Many thanks, Karaed. I am Charon Teklus undul Jovunkorla, diplomat from the SRI, or Second Reformed Imperium. As you may know, I was sent here to learn about your sovereignty's culture, as well as answer any questions you may have about ours." Charon spoke confidently in fluent basic. The Gal'Gai had at one point been involved in the greater galactic scheme, but had withdrawn to tend to domestic issues.
