so Quantum told me to make a post about this
so, we have a server now, it's dedicated and paid for so it won't go down when the admin logs out
it's Tekkit, so make sure you're using tekkit clients to connect

Before anyone asks, use the latest version of tekkit. (Currently: 3.1.2 | 1.2.5)
