Aruna
The peaceful world of Aruna, a massive grassland world, peaceful, calm, harmonious... Until now. A shadow looms over the White Tower, the shadow of Death. Exitium's forces have already begun appearing here and there, a prelude to the counterattack he will launch against Aeon's transgressions into his territory. Already, outlying villages are overrun, and one of them in particular shall serve as the staging ground for the attack on Aeon's fortress.
"We are in position for the slaughter." A dark elf reported to the demon known as Araman. He waved the elf away, looking down at the city below. Exitium's forces waited for his signal, he knew this, and the unsuspecting townsfolk held no chance against superior numbers and power. Though today seemed to be off... different... or he may have been perceiving the ease of this invasion incorrectly. It doesn't matter, he thought, the fires of war will scar this world regardless. He sent out a fire bomb onto the town below, the signal for the attack to begin. The first wave launched, followed close by the second, and already he could hear the panic ensuing...
The first signs of trouble immediately showed up at the door to the room Wynn rented. People panicking, far off sounds of fiery explosions, and screams of death and the likes... they all turned the morning into a red dawn for the approaching horde of Exitium forces, which already moved to surround the city.

Wynn awoke with a start. She jumped out of the bed and out of the window of her room, knowing that moving on the ground could end up being a death trap. She jumped to a building just a bit away and grabbed the ledge and climbed onto the roof and looked around. She drew her bow and an arrow, staying low as she got her bearings. Wonderful, impeccable sense of location and timing as always... she thought as she saw the army just outside the town.

Re: Aruna
The first wave consisted of Cerberus' and larger Hellhounds, the latter breaking through the gates with ease while the former mopped up behind them. They came crashing against the walls, and plowed through the guards with ease. As if things were destined to worsen, though, the second wave consisted of three Shadow Dragons flying overhead, setting the town below ablaze with blue flames. The townsfolk obviously stood little chance against the onslaught, and was shown absolutely no mercy, combatant and non alike.
Araman began walking down towards the decimated front gate as the third wave came storming in now, a mix of 2nd class reapers and dark elves to start the cleanup and eliminate hidden opposition.

Wynn looked at the army that was tearing through the city like it were paper from her vantage point. "...I've got to get out of here..." She put her arrow back in its quiver and her bow back on her back. She took a few steps back from the edge of the building, then sprinted full speed at it and jumped to another rooftop, and made her way for the edge of town. She would, however, stick out among the chaos as the only person on a rooftop to any airborne units. She would keep an eye upward, making sure nothing would come for a strafing run on her.

Re: Aruna
A unnatural roar could be heard from behind Wynn as one of the dragons spotted her attempting to flee. A large black shadow enveloped the ground below, as a blazing blue light shone from above and shot downward at Wynn. She was being chased.
Araman noted the ease of this attack as well, stepping on and over the bodies of fallen comrades, enemies, and civilians. He also noted how many more of the latter two there were to the former, despite the relative small size of the army. There were only two hundred assigned to this task, of which there were at least seventy-five guards to this town, and many more civilians... these humanoids seemed to be far more cowardly compared to those of his home it seems, if they died so easily... A loud shockwave was heard from above, and he looked up, seeing a girl jumping from one building to the next, with a bow and a quiver of arrows. "Or perhaps the bravest of these beings are simply a rarity." He said aloud, jumping up onto a building and following Wynn.

Wynn dove off her current building, much earlier than she would have liked, to avoid the blast. She fell far short of the next building and slammed into the streets below. Hurt, but not crippled, she got up and began running on the ground for the edge of the village to get out of the village, knowing she was just in the crucible of a battle she could not win. She ejected her hidden blade and kept it out, knowing someone could get in her way at any moment.
Sending dragons and an army at a single village, this is ridiculous. She thought.

Re: Aruna
The dragon lost sight of her when she fell down, but in Wynn's path where several fighting guards and Exitium forces, all of them blocking their way to the destroyed gate of an exit. Furthermore, there was another demon following her, rather discreetly, but tracking her still. The first of the dark elves took notice of her and charged, swinging his sword while a second turned and shot an arrow in her direction.

Wynn held her gauntlets up with the metal plates outward to block the sword, she would not have enough time to dodge the arrow and it would sink into her arm. She winced at it for a moment, but quickly locked the plates around the soldier's sword and used the grip to pull it form his hands and throw it aside. She then pulled the arrow out of her arm and stabbed it into his forehead and continued running, some blood dripping from her arm. She ducked in an alley, and drew her bow, having taken notice before that someone had followed her onto the rooftop before, but not knowing who. She drew her bow and an arrow, drew the bow back with the arrow on the string and aimed at the end of the alley, waiting for him to follow her in.

Re: Aruna
Araman stopped just before the alleyway entrance, noting that the girl hadn't come out yet, and that the alleyway was a dead end. ... I'm not that stupid. He thought, But obviously I'm not that good at sneaking, either... I should've taken lessons from that one kid. He turned towards the dark elf that shot the arrow from before and motioned him towards the alleyway. He complied obediently, walking towards it with an arrow drawn back, ready to fire.

Wynn would see the dark elf round the corner, and would react with great speed and let the arrow fly. It would sink into his skull. "Damn it!" She swore, having a hunch the man had sent in an intentional decoy. She looked around her, but she had no real way out. The sides of the walls were too smooth for climbing. She drew another arrow and began walking slightly crouched to keep stability. She would aim her shot toward the corner as she slowly crept around it, ready to fire the moment she saw the man.

Re: Aruna
The elf flew backward from the arrow shot, right in front of Araman's eyes. ... Well damn. He thought, taking out his katana. I didn't expect her to be that good. He stood waiting for the warrior to emerge from the alley. Last thing I need is to take an arrow to my face in this world.

She would round the corner and spot Araman. She wouldn't waste a second and let the arrow fly straight for his head. As it flew toward him, she reached for another arrow and took aim to fire again and let a second arrow fly for his lower abdomen.

Re: Aruna
Oh shi- He ducked underneath the first arrow, rolling out of the way of the second, and tried to recover. Geez, what the [censored] is up with you? He went to block the likely to happen third arrow. How in the blue Hells does someone get that good with a bow and arrow around here... unless... oh dammit.

The third arrow would fly just by his ear a moment before he raised his sword. It missed, but not by much. Wynn drew a fourth arrow, but held it this time, hoping to catch him when he charges in for a slash. "...Walk away... right now..." She said, giving him an icy glare that would send a chill down his spine. She actually stood rather at-ease. She looked more like someone practicing on a target rather than someone in the middle of a war zone.

Re: Aruna
"..." You're an odd one... He thought, taking a defensive stance, pulling out a red short sword with his other hand. He didn't answer Wynn's request with a word or an action, just stood there. But I'm not quite done with you yet.

She let the next arrow fly for his chest, and drew two arrows extremely quickly, crouched while holding the bow sideways and fireed them in a slim v shape intended to land one in him regardless of which direction he decided to dodge.

Re: Aruna
The arrow suddenly flew to the side by an invisible force as Araman remained there, perfectly calm and didn't move an inch. I'm not just some sword wielder, lady. He thought, as he waited for the next arrows to fly at him... likely in the face, which he hated.

The arrows that were intended for him to dodge into would fly off just short to either side of him. Wynn ejected her hidden blade, which was in her right gauntlet, and charged at Araman, still holding her bow in her left hand. Of course it would be a demon... she thought as she did so. She would sprint at him at inhuman speed and prepared to attack.

Re: Aruna
Araman managed to follow her trail of attack and dodged the charge, jumping, spinning around, and kicking her in the back, catapulting her forward as he recovered again, a defensive stance. Hmm, based on her appearance and weapon choice, she's likely some ranger or assassin... interesting, I wouldn't think of meeting one that's not from this world.

She would take the hit and fly in the direction she was kicked, although Araman didnt feel the hit as much as he wouldnt have normally. As she fell forward, she curled into a ball and flipped and twisted herself around. As Araman was recovering from his attack, he would have another arrow flying at him before he could even set his feet back on the ground. Before the arrow would find its mark or be deflected, she would rebound and fire a volley of three arrows at one time at him.

Re: Aruna
Oh son of a- He thought, as he reflexibly threw his arm up to block the arrows... it succeeded... in having them drill into his arm. "OW! DAMMIT IT ALL TO HELL!" He yelled out as he lept backwards, breaking the arrows in his arm. "What the [censored] is up with you, [censored]?!" If Wynn noticed, his arm was already regenerating over the arrowheads.

In the time he was breaking arrows off his arm, Wynn would already be stalking towards him firing arrows one after the other in quick succession with a mere two or three seconds between shots. She just stared at him with intent to kill him as she shot at him, not even giving him a response.

Re: Aruna
Araman was now quite enraged by this little girl's tenacity and arrogant behavior thus far. He sliced the arrows out of the air with elegant spinning and short, accurate cuts, denying her the satisfaction of his death. I am going to kill this [censored]!

Wynn didn't change her behavior at all, she still wasn't letting up the arrow storm as she slowly walked toward him. When she was just a few strides away from him, she would eject her hidden blade again in her free hand and charge forward and go to punch him in the neck with her bow horizontal across his frame, most likely blocking any chops at her. She would follow up quickly with a stab from the hidden blade on her other arm in the chest.

Re: Aruna
Wynn's fist and blade would find themselves impacted against an icy shell as the bow was frozen to Araman now. He booted her back, yanking the bow out of his back. "Cold-hearted [censored] meets an ice-blooded bastard of Hell." He said aloud, throwing the bow to the side. "I am so going to enjoy slicing those hands off." He sheathed his katana and brought out a second fire-red short sword.
