[Quantum Rain]

The peaceful world of Aruna, a massive grassland world, peaceful, calm, harmonious... Until now. A shadow looms over the White Tower, the shadow of Death. Exitium's forces have already begun appearing here and there, a prelude to the counterattack he will launch against Aeon's transgressions into his territory. Already, outlying villages are overrun, and one of them in particular shall serve as the staging ground for the attack on Aeon's fortress.

"We are in position for the slaughter." A dark elf reported to the demon known as Araman. He waved the elf away, looking down at the city below. Exitium's forces waited for his signal, he knew this, and the unsuspecting townsfolk held no chance against superior numbers and power. Though today seemed to be off... different... or he may have been perceiving the ease of this invasion incorrectly. It doesn't matter, he thought, the fires of war will scar this world regardless. He sent out a fire bomb onto the town below, the signal for the attack to begin. The first wave launched, followed close by the second, and already he could hear the panic ensuing...

The first signs of trouble immediately showed up at the door to the room Wynn rented. People panicking, far off sounds of fiery explosions, and screams of death and the likes... they all turned the morning into a red dawn for the approaching horde of Exitium forces, which already moved to surround the city.

[Wynn]

Wynn's fist and blade would find themselves impacted against an icy shell as the bow was frozen to Araman now. He booted her back, yanking the bow out of his back. "Cold-hearted [censored] meets an ice-blooded bastard of Hell." He said aloud, throwing the bow to the side. "I am so going to enjoy slicing those hands off." He sheathed his katana and brought out a second fire-red short sword.

Wynn would lose the bow as he threw it aside, but she would catch his foot and fall forward, snapping the knee backward in a way it was never meant to bend. She quickly rolled over him, sinking her hidden blade into his chest briefly, then continued over him and got back to her feet and picked her bow back up. She put it on her back, knowing the arrows were useless at this point. She ran over to a nearby corpse and took a knife off the body and held it back handed in her left hand, and kept the hidden blade extended on her right arm.

A barrage of painfully sharp ice missiles flew at Wynn as she went for the knife. Araman was standing again, and this time he looked really pissed off. "You [censored] [censored]." He muttered, the short swords taking on a blue flame around the red blade. "I am going to obliterate you for that." A second barrage of the fiery hail surged forth from Araman's body.

A barrage of painfully sharp ice missiles flew at Wynn as she went for the knife. Araman was standing again, and this time he looked really pissed off. "You [censored] [censored]." He muttered, the short swords taking on a blue flame around the red blade. "I am going to obliterate you for that." A second barrage of the fiery hail surged forth from Araman's body.

Wynn would dive for cover as he fired the ice spikes at her and stayed behind a segment of free-standing wall from a building that had been destroyed in the chaos around them. She thought of what to do next. If I had potions to work with, this would actually be [censored] possible! She thought to herself. She sat there a moment and looked around, but saw only broken pieces of the building. She drew her bow again, jumped out from behind of the wall and fired an arrow in mid-air, and flew back behind a pile of rubble just across from the freestanding wall.

The arrow would be flung back, with an ice missile splintering its shaft. "Go [censored] yourself with those damn arrows of yours!" Araman yelled out at Wynn, sending a complimentary barrage of more missiles at her cover. "And where the hell is my back-up you lazy bastards!?" Wynn could hear the sounds of approaching enemy troops now, as well. A few only, probably three, and a cerberus.

Wynn stole a peek around the pile of rubble and went back behind it. She looked all over the ground for anything that might help, then her eyes settled on a bottle of hydrogen peroxide on the ground nearby. She quickly picked it up and set it down next to her. She took out a fire starting tool that had a strip of magnesium on it. She took out some bandages she had for basic first aid, and began scraping magnesium off the tool and onto the bandage. She wrapped it all up very tightly, then soaked the bandage in the hydrogen peroxide. She took the small wad of soaked bandage and stuck it on the tip of and arrow. She jumped up onto the rubble, jumped upward and fired the arrow down at Araman in mid-air.

Araman turns back around to see the arrow straight in front of his eyes. [censored]! The arrow explodes on his face, the bright white flames burning through the ice and melting the skin, and soon, the rest of his body as well, due to the peroxide. At first it seemed like he was downed, but then the white flame turned blue, and the ice fully melted, revealing a ravaged demonic form, but it was still alive, with icy flames flowing from its eyes. "That's it." He said, charging at Wynn now, ice forming at every step. "DIE!" He struck with the first blade at such a surprising speed and strength that, when Wynn dodged it, her former cover shattered. He stood up again, an ice wall blocking her likely reprisal.

Wynn dodged the slash, but rather than retreating, she kicked the peroxide bottle up and threw it at araman and shot it with another arrow mid-air. He would become completely soaked in the peroxide now. She rushed at him, jumped up and flipped. As she was over his head, upsidedown, she struck the side of her magnesium bar, which was made of a harder metal, causing a rain of sparks onto his head, igniting the peroxide on him.

Araman grabbed Wynn as she was in mid-air and threw her back onto the ground, stomping on her as he noticed that he was drenched in peroxide. "I think not, [censored]." He said, as the magnesium suddenly froze over. "Not a second [censored] time, [censored] that [censored]."

Even though she was pinned, Wynn drew the dagger from her hip and sank it into his ankle and pulled it out, nearly cutting his foot all the way off. In the moment that the pressure on her was off, she swang her leg up and kicked him in the groin as hard as she could, then rolled backwards back onto her feet. Even though she was still looking at him with the same icy glare as before, he could see she was tiring out. The way her shoulders moved up and down noticeably as she breathed.

Araman's eyes glowed again, as four somewhat icy shadow forms flew from his own shadow and at Wynn, followed by Araman himself. "A shallow grave for you too!" He yelled at her, the first shadow striking at her from one side while the other tried to jump down on her, sword poised to slice her in half.

She would block the one that would slice her in half if she didn't, but ignored the others, bracing her self to be in serious pain in a moment. As the charged in, she would rush up and sink both the knife and short sword into Araman's neck as she herself was stabbed by the shadows. She then began pulling the knife and sword apart, attempting to take his head off.

Araman grabbed Wynn's arms, letting go of his longsword as the shadows held swords to her neck now. Her arms iced over, refusing to obey her desire to slice Araman's head off. Well this is a suck-[censored] predicament! He thought, as three dark elves aimed their bows at Wynn. And she's out of options... GREAT!

Araman grabbed Wynn's arms, letting go of his longsword as the shadows held swords to her neck now. Her arms iced over, refusing to obey her desire to slice Araman's head off. Well this is a suck-[censored] predicament! He thought, as three dark elves aimed their bows at Wynn. And she's out of options... GREAT!

She would be unable to let go of the short sword or knife due to her arms being frozen, but she would not stop fighting. She would begin headbutting him repeatedly as hard as she could, making sure to keep Araman between her and the elves with her footwork. She would slowly pull him toward a burning building, still head butting him as she did so.

This is getting us nowhere and this crazy [censored] is beyond tenacious! He was trying to think, but with having to focus on so many things at once, it didn't work too well. Dammit, get off me! He thought, casting a shockwave at her. Her arms were still frozen in place to him, though, and thus unable to fly away... the shadows flew off and dissipated, however, taking a less of a strain on Araman's concentration.

Her arms were still frozen in place to him, though, and thus unable to fly away... the shadows flew off and dissipated, however, taking a less of a strain on Araman's concentration.

She would quickly recover and run into the burning building she had intended to drag Araman in. She positioned herself next to a flam and actually put her arms into the flames for a few moments and backed off slowly. The feeling in her arms was still gone, but she would regain mobility in her arms after thawing them. "I hate this bastard..." She murmured quietly. She took cover within the building, waiting for Araman to follow her in. She put the short sword on her belt as well as the knife. She hid behind a pillar that had been part of a fireplace, and waited, staying under the smoke.

"..." As Wynn tore the swords out of his neck, a muffled scream erupted from him. [censored] son of a [censored] this world HURTS! He yelled in his mind as he took notice of the beating he took. "..." I think I'm done playing games. He sent a mental signal to the dragons above. They redirected towards the building Wynn was hiding in and sent a combined wave of blue flames to tear it down on top of her. Survive that, [censored]. He said, as he witnessed the satisfaction of the building collapsing in on itself.

As if in response to his statement, the short sword would fly out of the smoke from the building, and sink itself into his chest. Wynn would be near the edge of the dust cloud, able to see him, but her clothes would make it difficult for him to see her. She spotted a rock near his foot, drew an arrow back on her bow and fired at it, hoping to create a spark and light the peroxide that he was still soaked in.

He sent a flurry of ice missiles at the arrow and at the dust cloud, specifically where he guessed Wynn was at. She pulled back another arrow, and struggled a moment due to her awkward position, but managed. She took aim, and let it fly into his neck, then got up and ran at him with her hidden blade ejected. She jumped at him and went for the forehead with the blade as she flew at him, hoping to finally get a killing blow.

She just continued glaring at him, as if waiting for him to finish her off. She was breathing exceedingly hard, and Araman could see some blood coming out of her mouth. "...What's the matter?" She spoke coldly. "Stumbling over your two left feet?"
