Chapter One: Ex Nihilo
First topic message reminder :
A war already thousands of years since its beginning, some worlds have already been devastated, but hope remains for those who wish to defend it... or destroy it.
Aeon's armies are amassing once more, though they emerge from the shadows of defeat against the Reapers in the service of Exitium, they hold courage still. Exitium sees this happening, and is already prepared to strike again, this time to kill. Merciless fighting shall take place soon.
Elsewhere, Anima creates her guardians, preparing to defend her creations still, even through the pain of death, she refuses to give in. Chaos's hordes are running rampant through the worlds though, creating pure discord in their wake, challenged only by Anima's warriors, they will, however, win if left unchecked.
Still, the gods are summoning their warriors, as more and more appear in the Sanctuary, a world otherwise known as the home of the gods, they appear in the respective thrones to each god, with the scenery equally matching their power. It is here where our story shall begin, and here it shall start to end, for out of nothing, out of Ex Nihilo, a story will start to weave itself together.

Re: Chapter One: Ex Nihilo
(wow...two weeks later...)
One of the demons catch the chain, and yank on it, sending Auger flying towards the demon, as it sends a large fiery beam right at him. The Judge that was stabbed in the head doesn't fall, as such a wound is not fatal to those who serve the lord of the dead, he turns around and blocks the telekinetic message that was sent, as the other two conjure a barrage of energy missiles targeting Auger, and Angus's allies.
"The world is a better place without you slayers of the innocent. Taste their pain, their fury, and their final moments of the life you take for granted!" Rain yells out, sending an energy shockwave outward, followed by several ethereal swords spinning around Rain quickly. The shockwave is designed to incinerate enemies, but only a few were affected, many were able to defend against the attack, but as the smoke settled, they wouldn't see Rain chopping their head off, as he came swooping in on them at incredible speeds. A careful observer would notice that Rain's feet weren't even touching the ground, as he blocked and counterattacked with incredible efficiency and fluency, achieving a state of mental and physical balance and stability a being like him would normally never see.
Kain and Angus would finally appear in a black stone, circular, actually well-lit room surrounded by class 1 reapers and blue torches. The reapers immediately took a battle stance, but didn't move, as Kain held his hand out ordering them not to attack. "He's with me." The usually silent man spoke aloud. It could be assumed that this was out of Kain's interest, not by actual orders. Kain walked forward toward the nearby door, opening it up and continuing to walk. Apparently, Angus was to follow him, and given that he's in enemy territory, it would be the smartest thing to do regardless.

(Agent not posting for some reason...)
Angus looks around the room, scanning for a quick escape route should things go south. As he looks around he follows Kain cautiously.
Skaer, realizing that his mind bending abilities have no effect on the fire demons, begins turning his focus on the underlings.

Re: Chapter One: Ex Nihilo
(sorry, thought it wasn't my turn)
Auger tugged on the chain to alter his trajectory, landing on the fire demons head. "hmm, it seems I don't know exactly how to kill you, so... I'm just gonna cut you up till you stop moving." Approaching the demons head at high velocity, Auger struck the demons head with a 2 handed strike with his remaining blade, and made a huge cut across its head and neck. "lets see... did that do it, or do I hit something else?" Auger asked, as he cut into the demons hand that held the chain. "anyway, I need that, so... Let go".

--Aruna--
Leo continued forward as his soldiers followed the strategy that was laid out for them. They would keep the enemy occupied outside of the walls while he infiltrated them and sabotaged them from the inside, gathering whatever information he could as well.
Leo walked toward the unfinished gates, decimating any enemies approaching him with the Force. No jedi is to be underestimated, especially this one. The enemy were largely pre-occupied by Aeon's forces, and thus no one could stop him from entering the base. He charged a force push up and threw the gates backward, breaking them off their hinges, as they come crashing down on a few unlucky guards behind it. Leo walked through the rubble and activates his lightsaber while the dust cloud consumed him. His silver colored blade shone brightly against his own silhouette.
--Some planet that needs a name--
---Rain's POV---
Rain flew at his enemies with overwhelming speed and struck with overwhelming strength, ripping multiple enemies apart with waves of energy. The aura surrounding Rain started to flicker, however, as it slowly started to fade. Again, some of the Reapers got back up from Rain's attacks, now switching to a strategy of just enduring his power rather than to fight back.
---Auger & Co. POV---
The demon's head was cut in half, but it turned around to look at Auger, as his head regenerated, becoming pure fire at first and then its original color and form. It roared, as fire flew out of its mouth, aimed at Auger. It then flew at Auger at similar speeds to his own even, striking out with its claws. (The hand regenerated via the same method.)
The judge walked toward Skaer, as he continued to block his mental abilities in reaching out to his comrades. He struck out, casting a sphere of exploding energy at Skaer, followed by three more, and then a beam. The other judges stand there and channel their power for reasons unknown, as the remaining Reapers and Fire demons protect them against the other heroes (and Villains).
--Umbra--
---Kain's & Angus's POV---
As they walked forward, Kain stopped, motioning for Angus to look out a nearby window. Through that window he would find a massive barren wasteland, with undead and visible spirits roaming throughout the land, some above long dead corpses. Anyone who knew the legends of Exitus would know this place. It was the world of Umbra, one of Exitus's primary fortresses. "Even if you tried escaping, there's nowhere to go for you." Kain said aloud, as if reading Angus's thoughts. Kain continued forward, passing several more guards who glared at Angus as he passed, but did nothing to bar his path or attack him.

Re: Chapter One: Ex Nihilo
Auger, hard pressed, blocked the demon's vicious claw swipes., while dodging the fireball narrowly. the fireball came so close as to create a mark on augers skin. "geez, this one's a challenge." Auger heard the sound of 2 more fireblasts coming from behing him. "and that just made it harder." Auger said, dodging a little better this time despite being rushed by the demons claws at the same time. "Geez, if this goes on, I might be killed. Guess there's no way around it..." Auger deduces "I was going to save this for later, against another, but... I have no choice." Auger, barely blocking the demon's slashes, looks for an opening. "If i can use it, that is.". Auger ends up being pressed by the demons' combined efforts, and they continue to fight, the demons' claws matching the silvery blades of auger step for step. "There!" Auger exclaims, as the demon in front of him prepares to blast fire again. Auger steps into the small opening the demon leaves, and stabs it in the chest, the demon seeming entirely unconcerned by the blow. Auger let go of both of his blades, and puts both hands on the chain. "Omnidirectional execution" Auger utters, as he begins to move the chain at high speed, cutting nearly every part of the demons body. his blade produces a high pitched squeal as it cuts the demon into pieces small as a piece of tissue, scattering it everywhere. Auger, breathing heavily, comes down to one knee after using the technique, it producing visible exertion on him. "You two... are next...as soon ...as I catch... my breath" Auger remarks.

Re: Chapter One: Ex Nihilo
Skaer quickly reacts by throwing up a shield against the fury of attacks, them, when the beam fires at him he orders the weaker minded OOC(the reapers and lowest class guys) to attack their masters as they have betrayed exitius. Skaer then fires his own beam of energy at the judge, followed up with beheadment by his adminium blade.
"Even if I can't leave..." thinks Angus "They, will find me" he continues following Kain

Re: Chapter One: Ex Nihilo
--Aruna--
---Leo's POV---
As Leo came walking through the gates, only a few enemies met to confront him. A fire demon and six reapers. "Is this all you've got, Exitus?" Leo said to himself, as he swung his lightsaber around fancily, giving a direct challenge to his enemies. "Come and get it." He said, as he held out his free hand at the enemies, it glowing with blue Force energy.
--Some World--
---Rain's POV---
Rain was pushed back again, surrounded by Reapers, and almost out of strength, but that only furthered his rage and frustration towards his enemies. As he channeled the last of his strength, several thousand ethereal swords appeared around him, spinning extremely fast around him, keeping the Reapers at bay. "Rutilus Efflectum!!" Rain yelled out, as these swords flew up into the air and, imbued with a red aural energy, launched themselves at the Reapers. Upon impact, each Reaper was engulfed in a huge flame, which compounded into a massive pillar of fire and devastation. It looked like a nuke just went off right where Rain was, unfortunately for him as well.
---Auger & Co's POV---
Jaxe flew at the Judge that was engaging Skaer and chopped his arms off, and then stabbed him in the heart while he was staggered and off-balance. "You have to disarm them and stab them in their black hearts, and quit with that trick, it won't work on these fanatics. Not while the Judges are around." He says, as he pulls out his sword and slashes at a Reaper that came flying at them, cutting him in half as he flew past them.
--Umbra--
---Kain & Angus's POV---
Kain continued on for what seemed like forever, until they walked into a large, open room with a summoning circle in the middle of it. It had windows that rose to the ceiling that was roughly thirty feet up. On the other side of the room was a large staircase that lead up to a throne. Everything was gothic, baroque style architecture. It looked more deathly than fancy though, especially with the torn up banners.

Re: Chapter One: Ex Nihilo
"Aah, thank you friend, how many of them are there so that the others minds will be defenseless?" asked Skaer
A massive metallic biped rammed through the roof and landed on the floor of the tower
"I knew it, I knew they would come" the robotic monolith was 50 feet tall and was armed to the teeth with rocket pods to lasers to Gatling cannons, and it appeared to be covered in a blue aura.
A human female's voice came from the machine "We mean none of you any harm, and we know that none of you can do us harm." "except you" she said, unapparent who she was addressing though definitely being either Angus or Kain

Re: Chapter One: Ex Nihilo
Auger cut through the next soldier which stood before him, hewing him into 3 equal pieces with care, in order to prevent any regeneration on his part. The judge standing before him, he knew, would not be taken down with a single cut. Burns had appeared on his back and arm, some of the skin on his back actually charred black near the middle of the burn mark.
There was another large scar on his chest, indicating where demon talons had cut into him. the wound was only from a glancing blow, anything more than that from one of the fierce creatures would prove a fatal blow for auger.
Auger had yet to notice, and had only one demon to defeat left...if the smaller, less powerful of exitius' forces would stop getting in the way. Most of these were easy enough to defeat for auger, but for every one destroyed, 2 would take their place. Auger had no time to think about such things, however. His only thoughts were to cut, dodge, and cut again. This state was Auger's home, and he felt comfortable and happy in it. A state free from confusion, Auger swung his blade at the wing of a reaper appearing in front of him, knowing it would cleave, knowing that a fireball was coming behind it. He dodged this blast, jumping inhumanly high, and came down next to the demon, landing already on stance.
The demon was somewhat surprised at this small human. few had resisted a demon before, and this one in particular had experienced many battles. elves, Chaos knights, even a few of the golems which fought for the god of life had died by his hand, and without difficulty on his part.
Why, then, was this little creature proving so irksome to him?
Auger cut across, lengthwise, for the claws he knew now came for him. he cut through most of the claws, but one managed to tear his leg, a slight miscalculation on auger's part. Auger didn't care, except for admonishing himself for getting rusty. The claws of the demon regenerated as Auger did this, the demon wearing an ugly smirk as it reared back or its next strike, but auger had already expected this, and rushed towards the demon. The demon prepared itself for omnidirectional execution but Auger, instead of stabbing the demon, used it's head to jump up to the cave's roof. In truth, Auger no longer had the energy to perform the move, and even if the strain hadn't killed him, the Exitius soldiers would easily be able to kill him in such a weakened state.
no, instead auger used the demon as a spring to attack the large and fractured stalactite on the roof. "This is so cliche" Auger muttered as he slashed at the stalactite and brought the stone down on the demon, while digging into the rock with his other blade. "If the rock's weak there, I bet one more strike would bring down far more. Sure enough, cracks in the inner rock had appeared, and another strike of Auger's blades brought another large stone slab down upon the demon.
The demon struggled to get up, shakily. It might survive this, the demon thought as it got up. As long as it got out of the way of fighting, with this crazy little human, and was allowed to regenerate. It might survive.
The demon saw the stone slab in the air, coming towards him at high speed, and had a half second of confusion before the slab of stone squished it to a pulp underneath.
Auger fell to the ground, standing on the stone slab. using the slab, combined with the stones impact with the demon's body, reduced the damage to Auger's knees to a slight amount of soreness on impact.
Auger stepped out, his leg wound exacerbated by the impact, and the leg beginning to rebel against his attempt to move it. "Well, at least that's out of the way." Auger barely saw the ax coming towards him out of the corner of his eye. Auger managed to stop it, his immense strength and magical weapons proving just enough to stop the ax, though the attack pushed Auger off his feet. as he got to his feet, his legs wobbling, he noted the warrior's monstrous horse and armor plating. the creature and its horse were dressed in black armor, and the helmet had horns coming out which Auger suspected were not a part of the armor
Auger resumed his stance and faced the warrior, and the 2 stood in silence. none of the forces Exitius had amassed would get in the way, for they knew that this warrior of Exitius was unmatched in power, and any who tried to join this exchange would be swatted away like flies.
Still, none of them doubted that this odd warrior who had inflicted such losses on their group would soon be destroyed himself, killed and sent to the underworld.
Who could stand against a black knight?

"what the hell was that?" Yelled Abaddon, practically leaping out of his obsidian throne. The cacophony of the roof breaking apart had reached even Abbadon's ears, as his small division on the home world nearby. The molten were mighty but few, and in truth had little use for their own homes. lacking the need to sleep, or even to sit often. however, Abaddon had demanded his Faction gain their own parcel of land, partially to solidify the molten as a powerful member of exitius' forces, and partially to satisfy his own ego. They were given a small division the land the size of a peasant village to use as their own. the spaces were closed in and made metal, in the buildings Exitius gave the faction of molten. Such quarters were constricting to Abaddon, who preferred open spaces and hard rock beneath his feet to the confined spaces given them.
That was all immaterial, however, to his desire to see what had managed to cause such a disturbance in one of the most well fortified position in the galaxy.
It seemed like a promise of action to Abaddon.

Re: Chapter One: Ex Nihilo
(OOC: I am deliberately waiting for a reaction to the mechwarrior)
Hayle, seeing the opportunity, attacked one of the fire demons, his fierce blade slicing wholly through it. The demon didn't react but instead seemed to glue back together and attack Hayle right back, something a blast of energy from Skaer could fix. Hayle was still slicing foes apart, but now he was running from the fire demon. There was a loud shrieking and his eyes turned toward the sky. Several massive mechanicals fell and landed around the battle, they were monolithic. Waves of hot lead began pouring from guns on them, the weaker exitius forces were being slaughtered, but the slaughter seemed to have no bias. Hayle saw Skaer, they saw each other and knew they had to retreat to the cave.

--Aruna--
---Leo's POV---
Leo stomped the enemies in front of him with seemingly endless flurries of lightning and concentrated force energies designed to eliminate the enemies in a radius around him. He walked casually toward his destination, lightsaber in hand and still active to deflect the arrows and the swords poised to strike him.
--Some planet--
---Jaxe's POV---
Jaxe saw the Black Knight and the Monoliths, and he knew immediately that this was plenty more serious than he would enjoy. "Right, I think we've played with our friends quite long enough now." He says, walking forward a few paces and throwing his sword into the ground in front of him. He held his hands together like he was praying, as then a white circle of light formed around him. The circle started forming inward, lines creating unintelligable symbols in the ground, as Jaxe looked back up, eyes wholly red, and grabbed the sword forcefully, in a stylish manner, ending with him holding it up in the air, as three Chaos Dragons rose from the cliff behind him, and ten Chaos Knights.
Jaxe then took the time to expand the symbol all around Skaer and Auger, the symbol turning black, as a wall of energy and fire shot up from it and they were all whisked away. Auger and Skaer, and everyone else would find themselves in-between dimensions it would seem, surrounded by black, but they could see perfectly, as if fully illuminated, while energy in the form of auras like the Northern Lights floated freely everywhere. "Sorry about that." Jaxe said, as they were floating there, in the black abyss it seems. "I'm not a fan of suicide and I'd rather keep you guys alive for now." He smiled, as they rematerialized into the real world once more, appearing on a mountaintop that was nearby where the battlefield was, but something was different. It looked as if time had shifted forward some as well. It would seem they were in that abyss a bit longer than it seemed.
(I apologize for the blatant god-mod there, any complaints I'll happily deal with. Congrats on Auger being a B.A. btw, Agentaaa, but I think it's a bit too soon for our heroes to take on the craziest elites for now, if you don't mind? There are other reasons for the god-mod too though. Besides, we're spending too much time on this one, smaller battle.)
---Rain's POV---
---(Roughly 15 minutes beforehand.)---
The massive pillar of fire started to finally dissolve, as a couple silhouettes of Rain and one other being could be seen. As the fires died out, the first, unknown figure wasn't there, but Rain was, unconscious on the ground, barely giving off any form of a power level, or any signs of being alive for that matter. From the looks of how the newly summoned Chaos forces were faring off against the Black Knight and the remains of his entourage, it doesn't look like it will be long before the Exitus forces would be combing the area for survivors and their targets.
(Also, I'd like Shale to pick up our friend there, if you don't mind, Agent.)
--Umbra--
---Kain & Angus's POV---
Kain stood there, not surprised at all, and not afraid of such a mechanical device. Partly because his world rarely saw such things and partly because he learned through his hard life and through his training not to fear anything. He merely stared at the mech's pilot with a cold, dead stare it would seem. "I doubt that this is your rescuer, Angus Vargas." He said plainly, and somewhat coldly. "Even so, they were not smart enough to realize that this place is one of the throne rooms of Exitus himself either." As he explained such, the guards took up battle stances but did not approach the mech. There were roughly twenty Reapers (C.2), and five Reapers (C.1) as guards, while a small group (4) of Inquisitors appeared to either side of the throne itself.
(I fully expect the mech to be able to stomp the guards, btw, I'm just giving numbers and some detail.)

Abaddon's POV
Abaddon entered the throne room fully expecting to see a full on battle he could take part in, only to see Angus and Kain sitting there. Sol, what the hell's the commotion? I expected security here to be a little better, on one of Exitius' strongholds. Perhaps I had too much faith in exitius' forces.
Abaddon leered at Angus. And who is this... Kain, is it? You creatures' names all sound the same... Anyway, who's the prisoner, and what's stopping me from killing him here?" Abaddon asked, a deadly smile on his face.

Auger's POV
"So, thanks for the lift, I guess" Auger grudgingly said to Jaxe, "But I think we have to get to work. Hey, you two!" Auger bellowed to Hayle and Skaer. "I have a deal for you. I have a friend down there who's in a heck of a lot of trouble. if you help me check down there and try to find him, I'll help you get that mage of yours back. sound like a plan?" Auger asked smiling.
"...And while I can scarcely tolerate you, I don't really feel like fighting you for the moment either. I don't really care what you do." Auger told Jaxe, an uncharacteristic glare on his face.
Shale, Onyx, and Kael's POV
"... I'm not waiting any longer" noted Shale to the conjurer. "they're ready sir, he just needs to try them a little bit." the conjurer replied, a hint of amusement in his voice. "No, I won't do it. my people are to remain ground bound. Flying is for birds and balloons." Onyx loudly protested. Don't be such a baby, this will allow you to get a full view of Exitius' forces, and allow you to cast spells easier. It's not that bad." explained Kael, Trying not to laugh as he said "besides, you don't look THAT ridiculous!"
"It's...it's temporary, right? You promised!" Onyx demanded of the conjurer. "Oh, yes, don't worry, those will go away. The enchantment can't last for longer than 2 hours even at its best, and these were made to last for only one. it's, uh, it's perfectly safe." The conjurer tried to keep his voice even as he assured Onyx.
Shale Smiled at Onyx "hey, we all agreed on the plan, now let's do it, before Rain is totally overwhelmed. We can do this.
Heh, bet if someone had told him before the battle that he'd by saved by us, his response mighta' been "When orcs fly!"
The Black knight looked at the damage done. Auger's blood still lay where he stood, before the teleport. The Black knight was disappointed by the Loss of his opponents. had he killed them, it would have been a great victory for Exitius, destroying many of his strong enemies. He supposed he'd simply be satisfied by destroying the ant who he had seen earlier at the battle of Hayldrig.
Still, he felt teased, as he had been somewhat interested in Auger, since watching him fight at that same battle, and some small part of him, not entirely devoted to duty and with a slight bit of freedom still, wondered what it would be like to fight him, and whether or not he would emerge the victor? The black knight was about to order Rain's execution when something happened beyond even his vast experience, causing him to hesitate for a second.
The soldiers of Exitius might have seen many odd and unique things in their time, but all of them looked up and were equally astonished by the new attacker
Floating above them appeared a large green orc with birdlike wings coming out of his back. the orc had a terrified look on his face, and his flight was ragged and clumsy, making some of the color drain from the orc's face. Even some of Exitius normally stoic and silent group had to fight the urge to laugh at the ridiculous sight.
They were not laughing as the orcs eyes glowed with power, however, and a large wall began to divide the cave, coming up and sealing many of Exitius soldiers in, along with the black knight. the wall did have a large opening, with it only coming up to 10 or 15 feet, but it served its purpose as a distraction, while Shale came up to Rain's body, grabbing him and retreating in a flash. Some creatures tried to follow Shale, but they were stopped by Kael, his great sword moving like a blur as he used it with the greatest of ease to chop and hack at those who attempted to follow shale. Drained, Onyx slowly flew away, avoiding most of the fireballs and other missiles Exitius' forces could throw at him simply be the sheer unpredictability of his flight. It was much like watching a bird fly after drinking or eating something that had fermented, and this was possibly due to the fact that Onyx had become extremely dizzy during his flight. Onyx was also drained from the large earth spell he had just used, and the only attack he managed to get out was when he awkwardly vomited as he flew, and it spilled onto a judge standing below, getting into the poor soldier's helmet.
Finally, even Onyx managed to get out, and trees appeared at the entrance, summoned by the conjurer to further help their flight. They ran for 2 hours, before they managed to get to a nearby outpost of Anima's, containing roughly 500 soldiers.
"Well, this seems safe enough here. We're exhausted, captain, and I'm afraid we must leave the rest to you, if they haven't given up on the chase a'ready. "Well, either way sir, you won't be seeing them again" Said the commander of the outpost, an elven warrior. "We just summoned a patrol of 10 earth golems to help us if things get sticky, and a hunter's agreed to scout ahead and see where they are and where they're going. there's no way they're going to so much as touch you. as for the kid there, we have some medics in the Hospital tent over there, they should be able to fix him up. "Thank ya kindly, commander. I don't suppose you can direct the rest of my men, and me, to the barracks after.
The commander shook his head "I'm, uh... afraid they're, um, all in use. you'll have to settle for the guest quarters. they're mostly for dignitaries, advisors, or other VIP'S, but after what you men did, you certainly deserve it more than those yahoos!"
"...Thank you kindly, commander, and do tell us if any bunks open up." Shale said, an exhausted look on his face.
"well, I'm a busy man, I won't be able to get that info to you in time, probably." The commander said, smirking.
'Well then, at least help me carry this guy to the infirmary. He's heavy."

Kain just looked like his usual, cold self. He stared at the molten with an emotionless look on his face for a few seconds. "He's the one I brought with me here, and the last one to get in my way no longer lives like you do now." He said, and then thought for a second, looking at Angus, then at the Molten, and then down at the summoning circle. "But... I could use your strength." He said finally, done with his little brainstorming session.

"He's not there anymore." Jaxe said simply, obviously stopping Auger and the others in their tracks with those words. "I can sense him from any distance. We're...special, I guess you could say." He didn't seem to like saying that at all, but it looked like he was honest because of that. "You'd be wasting your time to look for him here."
---Rain's POV---
The medics, upon examining the cuts visible in his clothing, and the dried blood, they would find no such wounds on his body. He was healed completely, and quickly, as if weren't hurt to begin with. Furthermore, no scars would remain to denote that he was ever harmed to begin with. He was still unconscious, however, not waking up at all during any of this.

"..." Auger paused, for a small moment, and was visibly saddened. In many ways, Rain was his guiding point up till now, giving him purpose and companionship. Now that he was gone, Auger felt a bit lost. Auger quickly perked up, however, and had a smile, an honest, friendly smile, as he said "It's okay. He and I will meet up some time later, I know. Shale gave up trying to sleep, Onyx's loud snores keeping him awake. "Ah, i would complain, but after what I put him through, I wonder if this is karmic revenge?" Anyways, I think I'll wake up Kael and go, and let Onyx stay and sleep. He's earned it, ya know?"
"What is his condition?" Shale asked of the nurse next to him, her petite and lovely figure, coupled with her long blonde hair, not giving a hint to her gruff nature. "He's frigging perfect, that's his condition, except he still won't wake up! I don't know why the hell he can't wake up, but he was in better condition than the rest of you were when you got here! At least HE didn't vomit at the front gate. What did you do to that orc, give him a barrel of ale?"
"it's a long and embarrassing story..." Shale answered, scratching his head. "anyway, we're waiting for him to be conscious to leave."
" Oh, you're not leaving yet." The nurse declared, her face businesslike "I managed to inspect you while you slept last night, and you all have injuries. the conjurer has curse magic inside him, the orc has 3rd degree burns, and the elf..." The nurse's voice turned smooth and seductive as she came up to Kael, grabbing his shirt "Well, we haven't gotten to examine you fully yet. how about you and I go into my private tent and I'll give you a thorough...examination...". Kael blushed and managed to stammer out "Th-that's, uhh... really not necessary...uhh, I don't think...oh, I think the commander's calling me! I have to uhh...head on out...ya...bye. Kael quickly disappeared out of the tent, and the nurse disappointedly sighed while Shale sat quietly in the corner, grumbling about his own luck with women.

---Shale & Rain's POV---
Rain started moving a bit rapidly, as if he were in a nightmare or something. He started muttering words randomly, and in a totally unfamiliar language. It sounded like gibberish at first, but there was a certain pattern to the words themselves to give it that feel that it was an actual language, just not one anyone would seem to know. He started moving even more rapidly and erratically, as some certain cuts and bruises appear on his arms and legs, wounds from a battle, but not ones he got from the recent fight. After a few more minutes of this strange spasm, he leaped up out of his bed, sitting up straight, and as he did so, he yelled out the word "Proditor", loud enough for many to hear, as he breathed heavily and seemed to stare into the abyss for several minutes, not looking or noticing the others. He looked down at his hands and his arms, as before him and the others they started to heal of their own accord. "Vos es a proditor." He said, using the previous word again, and lingering on it as if it held some meaning to him.
(To clarify, the last phrases, Proditor, and the one after it, are not the language he was speaking in before, during the nightmare.)

"I want a rest" said Oresia, falling on his face as if he were drunk. "Well that takes care of him I guess" Skaer picked him up with mage hand and started walking away from the cave" "Another haven ruined by this damned conflict." he whispered to himself.

The nurse moved from the tent in a hurry "Commander! the warrior has awoken." the Nurse yelled. Shale, who was standing next to the outpost commander, ran to the tent, hoping to attend to Rain. "what state is he in?" Asked the outpost commander, curious about this sudden awakening. "He just got up and started screaming, wounds appeared all over his body... I don't know what's wrong with him..." The nurse admitted "I just know it doesn't appear life threatening, though it certainly seems unhealthy.
"Best leave it to Shale" The outpost commander calmly replied "The man is one of Anima's chosen. He knows what he's doing."
"sigh...I've seen this a few times before, from some of the boys comin' back from the war. Pain so bad it stays with ya. small, white orbs formed around Shale, seeming to look up to him. 'If it wouldn't be a bother to ya, do what you can to ease this boy's pains, please.
The wind spirits, for that was what they were in truth, formed around Rain, small vapors issuing forth from them, the intent to lessen at least the pain of the mind a little.
"Looks like all I can do... Is sit and let this run it's course." Shale's eyes were filled with pity for the "kid" in front of him. "You're too young for such burdens... I only hope I can do what I can to help the pain a little bit..."

Abaddon smiled, looking at Angus "So, I take it the softskin is not a prisoner? But he should know not to interrupt his peers, at least not without introducing himself. Who are you, little man?

"I'm Auger. Pleased to meet you, and hope we can have a match after this is all well and done.

---Kain's POV---
Kain just waited for Angus to reply, standing there silent and uncaring about the whole encounter, really.
--Some Planet--
---Rain's POV---
Rain held a hand up, telling Shale that it wasn't necessary, as his wounds healed before their eyes. Rain was still breathing sort of heavily, but he was calmer at least, and did appear coherent and alert of the other people's presence. "I'm fine, thank you." He said, as he stared down at the bed covers, into the abyss really, trying to get his breathing under control. "...and for the record, I'm not a kid... I'm a hundred and sixteen years old."
---Jaxe's POV---
Jaxe was silent, not really enjoying what Auger called him, but trying not to care in the end anyway. ...I can't believe I'm going to work with these idiots... he thought, as he observed them. I could just call in more reinforcements and wipe them all out here and now...

Re: Chapter One: Ex Nihilo
"This Softskin is an angel, of death. On my home planet I was known as the most insane killer to ever live, that is why they banished me here. I was piecing it together, remembering fragments. I was beginning to turn, My full power being realized. They cannot allow this. So they have come to finish what they thought to be a humane rehabilitation." Said Angus flitting his scimitar around playfully with an insane smirk on his face.
"I know just th-" before Skaer could finish his sentence Chronos appeared in front of them, "You need someone to teleport you? well I can get you anywhere instantly relative to time, as is the definition of teleportation, where do you need to go?"

"another grandiose title a human has taken" Abaddon seemed rather unimpresssed. "It's not so hard to be an angel of death with your race, so fragile, so easily bent and broken. But I'm not here to remind you creatures of your inferiority, so just tell me what you need me for so that I may return to my boredom.

'oh, so you're a chronomancer. I can't exactly tell you where it is, but I do know the cavern there is rife with magic energy containing the coordinates of the spell. Assuming you can sense magic, and in general most mages able ot perform the simplest of spells can, you can easily find where the mage was taken from those coordinates. If you can't sense magic, given you're a chronomancer you can simply take some time to learn it if I'm not mistaken." Auger took a breath "But given this is an enemy stronghold we obviously need to be a bit careful when entering, so we'll need some ability to tell where exactly is a good spot to teleport to so that we don't end up inside a creature on the other side when we do so. Think you can help with that?" Auger asked.
---somewhere else on aforementioned planet
"Alright, if you say so" Shale said warmly, not wishing to argue over it "We managed to snatch ya from some of Exitius' forces, when you collapsed. If you wish to leave, we won't stop ya, but it'd be nice for ya to tell us what happened, if ya might."

"Oh, you won't be returning to your boredom any time soon. We'll be greeting some more guests looking for this guy, as I had planned when I took him." Kain said, as he walked past the molten. "They will be here very soon."

"...." After calming down entirely, he looks up at Shale with eyes that tell a story much older than even he said his age was. "My partner, I suppose you could call him, decided to run up to attack those Exitus forces. From there, he got picked up by that black winged person, whoever he was, and I was left to die in a swarm of enemies. Midway through the fight, everything went black for me. Can you fill in the blanks?" Rain asks, curiously, as he attempts to recall what happened to him, but nothing else came to mind save for that last statement before fading into unconsciousness. That's not true.
--Some planet--
---Jaxe's POV---
"I know exactly where to go. However, appearing anywhere stealthily is impossible, not when he obviously knows you would seek his hostage." Jaxe replied, breaking his verbal silence.

Chronos drifted into the cave, "I can't pinpoint them, Skaer come help me out" He motioned for Skaer to come into the cave. "I can't quite get the coordinates without you stabilizing the- Aah thank you. I have the cords' lets be off. With blinding light they were all scattered in a field. "Sorry about that!" said Chronos "I don't think this is the right place. Let me just... " Chronos put his palms to his forehead and began slamming his face. Another blinding light, and.......
Angus looked at Kain, "What is my purpose here? I sort of expected everything to be revealed when I turned back to the good guys"
OOC: (Angus means exitius is the good guy of course)

Yes Kain, reveal all that the "good guys" know to me as well. As well as why you're luring enemies into one of Exitius' strongholds. Were they just... too much for your insignificant self to handle?" Abaddon asks mockingly of Kain.
--Some planet
your partner's in the one with the black wing's hands -- Jaxe, that's his name, I think. He was a commander at the battle of Hayldrig. from the data, the two clashed earlier on. Jaxe teleported him and a few others out of the battle, ya see, after he and they took some damage. Did a lot of damage, though, that boy -- Took a few demons out and quite a few soldiers, and I must say I haven't seen such potential in a long time. that boy's jus' gonna get stronger and stronger, I'd expect -- wherever he is now.
--Aruna
near where Leo was, a youth was anxiously studying a map, which was being held upside down. "Ok, so, I think he was supposed to either be here... Or 2500 miles north... Wait, that can't be right! Hmmm... What did the commander say about it again
"Go and find the gray jedi, Leo, and do what you can to support him. This is a simple task, and something not even you should be able to screw up. If you manage to defy all expectation and screw up anyway, I'm sure Leo will be able to mitigate whatever damage or lack thereof you do"
"And now I remember why I hate my life" Sona groaned.

"I would prefer to fight them on my terms, but if you think so lowly of me, feel free to take them on by yourself." Kain invited Abbadon, as he turned around and motioned for Angus to follow him.
--Some Planet--
"His name is Auger, and you're right, actually, but then, everyone has that same potential...those who were made for battle. For war..." Rain said, drifting off a little, and then coming right back from the abysmal memories in his mind. "I suppose the first thing I need to do is find my friends, but something tells me that won't be possible with that, who was it again? Jaxe?"
--Aruna--
Leo walked into the incomplete throne room, where the enemies were being summoned by the summoning circle on the ground in front of him. At the unfinished chair sat a large man in heavy armor, surrounded by at least four dozen enemy units of various types. "I've been waiting for you to arrive." The commander said, as he smirked. Leo just stood emotionless, lightsaber in hand, as he looks forward at the foes arrayed against him this time.
--Somewhere--
Jaxe just waits for everyone and everything to stop jumping around from world to world to world. I need to remember that next time, I'm doing the teleporting from world to world... He thought, as he stood up when everything was finally said and done. "Are you done yet?" He asks Chronos a bit impatiently, but more so coolly.
