Shel wearily walked home, satchel of medicinal salves and herbs she'd collected ready to bring to her village. She sighed at the thought of what her village had become - and how she was now the last of the medicine women of her tribe. Warlock magics had taken definite root in her hometown, and while not everyone turned from the old ways in favor of the demonic magic, a good portion of them certainly had. "oh, all-father, give me a sign, something to show that not all is darkness, and that the light may yet glow and spread once more." Shel Pleaded, looking up to the sky, as tears ran down her cheeks, the stress building within the old orc woman finally being released.
Shel asked for a sign, and, seeing a twinkling in the sky, she soon wished she hadn't. A ball of flame and rock headed towards the planet, blazing brightly with an orange light. Hitting the ground, the massive meteor revealed itself to be incredibly large, creating a massive crater where it hit. though Shel was not near the impact site, the shockwave nonetheless shook her off her feet. Then, the crater, as quickly as it hit, seemed to disappear and crumble, as a massive blue light shot from the heavens, striking and dissolving the meteor in a massive burst of energy.
And that energy was what finally revealed the world of Novam Initium to the universe...

[Wynn]

Wynn would collapse as Fas spoke with the spirit. She was still conscious, but she lacked the strength to stand any longer. She stared up at the sky motionless, calmly making her peace.
So this is how it ends?... She thought to herself, teetering on the edge of consciousness. She was about to fade entirely, until Fas began healing her in the nick of time.
"Wha..." Wynn muttered, trying to figure out what was going on. She felt the pain from her wounds fading, and she took a deep breath. She could breathe again. She sat up as Fas fell down. At first, it didn't make sense what was happening, but she quickly put the pieces together.
"Damn it, Fas..." Wynn grumbled, pulling him up. She put him across her shoulders to carry him and ran as fast as their combined weight would allow her to move.

As Tyrath moved through the brush in his pursuit of Wynn and Fas, he would see a glowing light, slowly fade, as what would appear to be a paladin in full armor appeared in front of him. "Why go on foot? Your quarry would be much closer if you went by air. Then again... It seems like you weren't given much of a choice." Ardens said, before stepping to the side, hands in the air. "Don't get me wrong, I'm not here to impede your progress - the opposite, actually. I know of the man who's harmed you, here - and I also know of his weaknesses. allow me leave, and I can keep him from impeding your progress, so that you can continue your search at full-speed."

[Wynn]

Tyrath quickly conjured his great sword at the first sight of the Paladin, expecting a fight. However, he did not initiate the first attack. He kept the great sword raised with the point to Ardens. Despite his initial reaction to Ardens' presence, Tyrath listened to what he had to say.
Tyrath let out a low growl of disapproval when Ardens finished speaking. However, he nodding his head in the direction of the ones that Ardens spoke of. He didn't care for alliances, but he was in too much of a hurry to argue or initiate a fight. He lowered his sword but kept it in-hand in case this was a setup. The knight wasn't too pleased that he was now making a deal with someone.

[Quantum Rain]

Kain slowly stepped out of the dark, swirling portal, sword in hand for any sudden surprises. He examined his environment as he set foot on the new world of greenery, untouched by warfare. "... What a dull, quiet world..." He remarked at the relatively peacefulness of the world of Novam Initium.

Onyx, Kael, Shale, and Rorek would be walking to their destination, before an old orc in brown robes would appear to them. "Brave travellers, your coming was foretold by the gods. Hail, to the servants of life!" the orc said in a raspy voice.

"Not so quiet. This place is filled with warfare." Kain would hear behind him, as Efah appeared. "Much of which has prevented me from gaining our objective. It seems like everything on this planet is attempting to keep Lord Exitius's prize away." Efah said, light wounds on his body. "More to the point, there's a trio of Aeon's soldiers after our prize, and some sort of assassin doing all she can to keep him out of our hands currently holding him in her possession."

Fas's skin would feel cold to Wynn's touch, not the cold of death but of someone losing heat fast. He would remain unconscious, and his heart beat would seem slowed.

"Son of a..." Aaron swore, as Wynn ran.
"It's fine, Aaron, he just got the jump on us. We won't make the same mistake twice." Sona reassured him.
"Not that!" Aaron grunted, still mad at himself for being caught so off-guard. just because he seemed to be a non-combatant didn't mean he was helpless, and Aaron shouldn't have let down his guard. "Can't you feel that? another high level of power has came to this world, and it's next to one filled with darkness... and they're near our position!

[Wynn]

Rorek sighed and rolled his eyes when the orc called them 'servants of life. "Here we go..." He muttered.

Wynn continued to run, trying to figure out what to do now. She had to get Fas to heat, but they were actively being chased by people who want to kill them.
"Damn it all..." She grumbled, still carrying him and running as fast as she could. She found a small cave in an outcropping of rocks and set Fas down.
She ran outside and gathered some wood and built a small fire. She took her time trying to make smoldering coals rather than a bright fire. She got a hot smoldering pile of them after some time and moved Fas as close to them as she could without putting him in danger.
"Wake up, damn it!" She whispered. She slipped out of the cave and prepared herself for another fight. No doubt their pursuers were going to be on top of them pretty soon. She laid her remaining potions, poisons, and weapons out before her.
"You want us?" Wynn muttered as she formulated a plan. "Come and get us..." She would take hand-picked items and begin setting them up as quick as she could. She would make the environment as hostile as she possibly could for any intruders, then perched herself in a tree that was in line-of-sight of the cave entrance. She held completely still, making sure to blend in as well as she possibly could.

[Quantum Rain]

Kain turned to where he could see Efah to his right. He stared at him passively as he spoke, his expression unchanging. "Then it would be prudent of us to remove those obstacles." He replied plainly, as if such an act were a casual chore. "It would be equally wise of us to ensure that our target is immobile as this is done."

"You've a point. Oroboros?" Efah asked, his snake appearing to his right. "Make sure our prey doesn't escape. You're free to eat the female, but focus on hemming them into a small area. I trust you're capable."
Oroboros hissed something seemingly inaudible to anyone but Efah and slithered away.
"I'm confident in his abilities. Now, let us remove those obstacles in Exitius's path." Efah said, his hand on the hilt of his blade as he walked towards Aeon's fighters.

[Quantum Rain]

Kain watched as the snake slithered away and stood aside as Efah sped ahead. "... Such odd people Exitium recruits." He mutters to himself, sprinting in the same direction that Efah was. He used his charm to suppress his power and presence for a moment as he neared his objective.
