Kiltara
The ruined cityscapes of Kiltara abound, and so too does the battle yet rage. The battle for Kiltara and the fate of mankind as a whole rests on this planet, and several others across the Arcturus front. Millions have died defending their home, and millions more in the service of Aeon. How long can this blind faith last, or how far can it reach, to save a desolate land?
Auger would awaken in a bombed out building, a wreckage of a battle long since passed. He laid next to a fire that shouldn't have existed, and a being whose presence was oddly familiar. "I hope that dark elf hadn't taken too much of the fight out of you, Auger of Praaxis. It would be a shame." The fully armored being spoke with a voice that seemed to reverberate in the air, as if many spoke the same words. He was obviously aware that Auger was awakening.

Re: Kiltara
"nnngh... Not... bees?" Auger mumbled in his sleep, as he blearily woke up. "Hmmmm... What's this? I'm not dead?... Huh. That's like the sixth time this year I thought I died and didn't. Wierd." Auger says, shaking his head to clear it. "and... glow-y guy.... looks kind of like the opposite of the other armor person I fought last... week, was it?" Auger said, trying to clear his head. "glowy person, did I fight you recently? If you're that guy though, your current form doesn't suit you at all..."
Re: Kiltara
"You must be referring to that Destroyer, Xaldius." Vires replied, understanding what Auger meant immediately by the description. "He and I are far different, and he will never be free of his prison. Nor will he ever understand." He went on, but then stopped himself short of making a boring lecture. "So no, you did not fight me. You never did, as I recall."
Re: Kiltara
"Well, I thought it was funny you weren't yelling at me in foreign tongues. Still I'd rather not have a rematch with him until he sharpens his skills. 'sno point in beating the same guy twice." Auger comments, looking around for his weapons casually. "What'cha mean, you recall?"
Re: Kiltara
"You would not remember." Vires said, waving his hands as the weapons Auger sought appeared in his hands in response. "It happened quite some time ago, and neither of us are the same, as it would seem. You bear a dark mark, and I bear the god-like stigma. This world certainly has changed..."
Re: Kiltara
"dark mark?" auger asks, sheathing the blades in his pants-loops. "Well, you smell sorta familiar, so I'm pretty sure you're not lying, an' there's no point lying to a guy you're gonna kill only to give him back his weapons..." Auger reasons through in his head. "Hoof... this doesn't seem anywhere near where I thought I died though..." Auger comments, looking around. "the place I was at looked... Vaguely alive."
Re: Kiltara
"Yes, this world is perhaps the most ravaged of them all." Vires added on. "One in which you could easily get lost in." Vires stood up and walked out of the building. As he did so, the fire instantly died, and the warm aura surrounding the area began to fade quickly.
Re: Kiltara
Auger, seeing nothing better to do, followed Vires at a relaxed pace, his hands behind his head as he leisurely strolled with Vires. "Must have been some war to make carnage like this. Hope it's not over yet."
Re: Kiltara
"Unfortunately, it remains on this world. For as long as these so-called 'gods' fight eachother." Vires stated, walking, as if with purpose, in a seemingly random direction. It soon turned otherwise as they stumbled across a patrol party, mostly undead. "And many of the dead have been woken from their slumber against their will. That is something I cannot allow, something I am certain you would aid me with, given your new status." He said, as they were still a distance from the patrol.
Re: Kiltara
"New status?...Nevermind, more importantly, stuff to kill." Auger said, drawing his weapons in an instant, The chain already spinning and ready for combat in his hands. "Hmmm, what technique'd be best..." Auger says to himself, winding the chain for another attack.
Re: Kiltara
Vires ignored Auger's battle planning and went on ahead, charging energy into his hands, as his sword glowed in response to the sudden need for channeling power. The patrol heard the tall figure walking towards them, if not felt him, and immediately went on the offensive toward him.
One fell victim to a sudden beam of light, cleanly decapitating him, as another never saw the large silver sword fast enough to block it from cleaving him in two. More were charging, however, as an Apocryphal in the rear, guarded by a band of Judges, was continually summoning more.

Re: Kiltara
"Hmmm... nahhh... maybe... oooohhh...." Auger thought, taking a couple of seconds to catch up, watching the situation. "That could work!"
charging forward, jumped high above the first wave of undead, span his chain. Rather than his classic buzzsaw, however, he spun the chain in a narrower focus, His longsword pointed below as the chain was swung high above. Just as Auger was about to hit the ground, He pushed his longsword downward with both hands. The sword arrived before Auger did on the ground, cracking a hole in the ground. The now-unrestrained chain spun in a wide focus, cutting everything down in a circle around the sword's landing zone, before stopping a few seconds afterwards, Auger stopping it with his hand, as he fell, before using it as a grip to slow said fall. "I like that one. Remind me to use it again." Auger said, as much to himself as Vires.

Re: Kiltara
Vires paid little attention to the stunt, though in his mind, he did acknowledge Auger's actions. As one of the undead charged, he uttered a single, small word. "Diin!" He said, as power reverberated behind the word, and the undead froze in place. He began walking toward the apocryphal, slicing apart some of the undead in his path, and leaving most to Auger's attention.
Two judges charged at Auger, while the remaining two at Vires. The first one that swung at the taller figure found his sword caught by Vires' free hand. Lifted up, while the second judge swung and was held by Vires' blade, he stared at the undead entity, boring into his mind, almost. "Dilon sil daal." He spoke, as the judge in his hand struggled and swung his sword. He disintegrated, but the sword struck Vires' helmet. It sliced the metal, but did not cleave through before it fell to the ground. Vires turned to the second judge, whom remained unafraid and unemotional.

Re: Kiltara
Auger merely caught the blade-hand of the judge that swung at him, grabbing on hard with one hand, before flinging him into a nearby building. Grabbing his weapon from the ground, he saw the second coming up in his peripheral vision, charging some magic spell. with a throw and a twist auger entangled him within his chain, causing his focus to be interrupted and his weapon to be dropped. having a brain-storm, Auger rushed up to the judge, stuck his shortsword within one of the links for a make-shift knot, and before the surprised judge could do anything spun him around, before smashing him onto the second judge, creating a clatter of armor where it hit. "seems like it undid itself." Auger notes to himself. "Oh well, better in the long run." Auger notes, charging forward through the undead. stopping to slice only to immediately explode in a blur of motion again, the creatures couldn't keep up with his pace well enough to mount a proper attack as he plowed through their formation, lopping off heads, as he headed for the aprocryphal.
Re: Kiltara
Vires had gotten there first, as he grabbed the other judge and threw him at the apocryphal, taking the swipes of the judge's defiant sword in stride. "Enough of your black magic." He stated, calmly walking toward the two that attempted at recovery. The judge flew at Vires, but he retaliated with, "Fus!" Casting him back a distance, off-balance, and open for Vires' blade to slice through him on his way toward the apocryphal.
Re: Kiltara
Auger continued moving, but stopped when he saw how easily took out the judges and aprocryphal. "Aww man, by the time I'd get up there, there'd be none left for me. He only left me the small fries." Auger said, sighing. "oh well. It's not good to overtax one's body after just waking up too, I suppose." Auger said, a whirlwind of motion nearwhere he was standing cutting apart a small group of nearby undead in a second.
Re: Kiltara
As the apocryphal cast a beam of lightning at him, Vires stretched out his hand and caught it, casting it back at the undead mage. He then followed up by stabbing the undead mage as it recovered, and lifted it up, sending a wave of energy to stun it. "Now. Reveal your secrets." He said, his voice reverberating even more than before. "Vahrukt Ofan Kun." He stated, as a stream of energy emerged from the stunned apocryphal's head and ran into Vires'.
Re: Kiltara
"stab, stab, slash, stab." Auger said aloud, "chop, punch, stab" He continued in a quick clip, as he took out undead after undead. As he almost effortlessly killed one opponent after another, he reflected on recent events. While it wasn't his first time losing, this one stung a bit for him, and at the same time, he wondered exactly what it was that intrigued him about the dark elf. Certainly, at least, she could fight, and he wondered if a rematch would be interesting... but he had to train himself to be stronger, first, so the fight could end up being different. "oh, for crap sakes..." Auger swore, sliding through a trio of undead on his suddenly-materialized lightning manacles. "I still don't know how to properly control these!" he said, using them a second and third time to dash through most of the undead remainder, before they disappeared again. "Oi, Vires, do you have yellow anklets spontaneously appear on your feet sometimes? Cause I have a related problem to fix." auger shouted to Vires.
Re: Kiltara
He cast the apocryphal to the side, a powerful throw that cast the being harshly into the refuse. He acknowledged what Auger said, but ignored it for the moment, walking up to the downed enemy and stabbing it through the chest. The enemy laughed as it was dieing, being cast back into the realm of death. "Our maker... will.. destroy you!" Vires couldn't help but smile, though no one could tell given his form. He leaned down toward the enemy, one of his hands resting on the sword, and spoke clearly. "I welcome the challenge." He grasped the hilt and pulled it up in a way that cleaved the enemy in half. "I do not have a similar issue." Vires stated, casually walking toward Auger, as the remaining undead turned into dust. "Though I would welcome such as a gift."
Re: Kiltara
"They're not a gift when they spontaneously push me forward like that. What if one day I'm fighting a guy with a spear out, and as I'm charging these activate, and I get impaled on the spear. Then I end up dead again. Or for the first time. I'm still not clear on that one." Auger said, scratching his head, as he stood amidst the devastation.
Re: Kiltara
"I doubt that would occur." He said, holding his sword out and standing still. "Now then..." He said, as the sword glowed brightly against the dark night sky. He spoke a few words of an undecipherable language, and the sword retaliated by casting out several 'arms' of white energy that grabbed at glowing, gem-like entities found on the bodies of the undead, and drew them back to the sword, where it was absorbed. After a few minutes of this, the 'ceremony' ceased, and Vires' sheathed the sword.
"I have been rescuing many parties like this, which were cast out to find and eliminate myself, for several days before I called you here." Vires explained to the unasked question of 'why are we here, anyway?' "I wish to weaken the undead's grip on this world."

Re: Kiltara
"huh, so that's what these are called. The mages of my world used to talk about summoning something like them all the time, but no one there could. "'sjust as well, since they were going to put them in the arena. Undead are horrible at being good opponents." Auger commented, putting his hands behind his head as he once more appeared relaxed. "so we're gonna run around and kick [censored] for the next few days? Sounds like a plan to me!"
Re: Kiltara
"Indeed, I brought you here to help me with such." He stated, walking again in the same direction. "I have others searching for any suitable 'targets' or 'raiding parties' already. Perhaps they may return with news sooner than later."
Re: Kiltara
"So you don't know where their defenses are, then?" Auger asked, attaching the excess chain of his swords around his shoulder. "Or can you just not hit them yet?" Auger asked, passively looking around for signs of a possible ambush.
Re: Kiltara
"There are many defenses, it is more of a matter of which one to hit at the appropriate time." Vires explained, continuing forward. In the far distance, one could see a large walker of some sort, and several flashing lights in the sky, detonations more than likely. Several dots and streams of lights glitter across the night sky, dancing around the massive construct.
