Kiltara
First topic message reminder :
The ruined cityscapes of Kiltara abound, and so too does the battle yet rage. The battle for Kiltara and the fate of mankind as a whole rests on this planet, and several others across the Arcturus front. Millions have died defending their home, and millions more in the service of Aeon. How long can this blind faith last, or how far can it reach, to save a desolate land?
Auger would awaken in a bombed out building, a wreckage of a battle long since passed. He laid next to a fire that shouldn't have existed, and a being whose presence was oddly familiar. "I hope that dark elf hadn't taken too much of the fight out of you, Auger of Praaxis. It would be a shame." The fully armored being spoke with a voice that seemed to reverberate in the air, as if many spoke the same words. He was obviously aware that Auger was awakening.

Re: Kiltara
"ooooh, those look like challenges." auger said, whistling as he looked into the distance along with Vires. "So, is that an undead too?" Auger asked, suprised, as he kept with Vires' pace, still rather relaxed.
Re: Kiltara
"That is an advancing force of Aeon, I believe you call him. It is besieged by undead forces and other machines of war, as one of my own reported." Vires stated, walking toward that area. "We are going to escort it to one of the undead bases so that it may do the task of defeating their defenses for us."
Re: Kiltara
"oh, okay. Let's go, then." Auger said, quickening his pace. "standing around too long bores me." he exclaims, before charging forward in a very fast dash. "hehehe...." Auger laughed, grinning. He had a feeling this would be very, very fun.
Re: Kiltara
Vires just shook his head and extended his white, energetic wings. "As you desire." He said to the ever-growing-distant figure of Auger. He launched into the air and sped toward the battlefield, quickly catching up to, and surpassing Auger's pace. Let's see how you acquaint yourself to this field of battle... He thought, knowing that Auger was bringing a sword to a gun fight.
Re: Kiltara
Auger dashed forward, moving close to the speed limit in his movement, as he grabbed hold of his chain, readying it to fight whatever foes appeared. "Gee, I wonder what'll be ready to fight. Hopefully it's one of those black-knight guys.... I love fighting those."
Re: Kiltara
Vires landed on the deck of the massive Arms Fort, a Motherwill class to be exact. He was greeted immediately by one of his subordinates, whom bowed politely. "My lord, I can confirm that the patrols were on a dual mission. They were going to flank Aeon forces here, and overwhelm them, as well as attempt to strike you down." "I knew as much." Vires stated, having taken the form of an angelic Aeon general for the sake of appearances. "I have eliminated the patrols and brought a new force into the field. Tell the others to begin offensive maneuvers." "Yes, my lord." The angel replied, bowing again and then flying off.
All around the Motherwill are two armies, one Exitium, the other, Aeonian. Both are varied, mostly undead on one side, and human on the other, wielding various ranged ballistic weapons and several squadrons of mechs flying about, annihilating eachother and the artillery cannons that the undead kept setting up further off. The Motherwill was in grave danger, at this rate, as its long range cannons battered the base shield that lay far, further away, under the command of an Exitium general.

Re: Kiltara
Auger cut apart the undead in front of him, dodging bullets and bazooka as easily as though it were natural. As soon as one of the undead seemed to have hit him, it turned out they'd actually stuck an after-image once again. Auger, seeming a little tired and slightly wounded, but still destroying everything in his past, readied his buzz-saw as he cut through the barrel of another artillery cannon, before putting his blade on the ground for a second as he took fragments of the cannon and put them into the barrel itself, causing a satisfying explosion for Auger as it blew itself to pieces. "Pretty awesome!" Auger said, grinning at the explosion, before a bullet grazed his shoulder. "hey, I was busy!" Auger yelled, rushing at the offending shooter and hitting him so hard with a punch he died instantly, before picking up his weapon. "Come on come on come on!" He yelled, a grin on his face. "can't one of you put up a good fight?"
Auger's prayers were answered as some of the Exitium undead moved away, as a large mech landed near him. "Okay, I think you'll do." Auger commented, evaluating the mech, before readying his blades and charging it.

Re: Kiltara
Several angels flew off of the arms fort and started an aerial attack of the ground forces, to ease the pressure of the allied mechs engaging their opposing counterparts. Vires watched this from the deck of the motherwill, the brilliant flashes adding to his count of the number of dead. "... These gods are so foolish to blindly war against eachother in this manner, sacrificing life for death so abundantly..." He muttered, disgusted by what he saw. He unfolded his wings, about to take flight into the sky to end this battle sooner rather than later, and perhaps save some of the lives here from certain death.
Re: Kiltara
Auger, breathing heavily, landed from the ground, having just kicked off the now-destroyed mech. "Hoof... that laser packed a punch." Auger comments. "I was only barely able to stop the attack with my blades.". The mech fell in pieces behind him. "But now I've got no good playmates anymore." Auger said, noting the undead around him. "Ahhh, well, I can at least keep myself warmed up for the next one." He commented, charging into the next grouping of undead.
Re: Kiltara
Vires flew forward into the battle, blade already slicing through the unsuspecting enemies in his way towards Auger. Few were able to retaliate before he cut them down, but even if they were, they struck his armor and usually dented or scratched it, rarely cutting through. As he reached Auger, he cast out a shockwave that pushed everyone aside. "Strike at their heart." He said to Auger, lifting him up and throwing him at an enemy artillery post, then went back to dealing with the enemies that recovered and retaliated.
Re: Kiltara
"But they're undead, stabbing the heart don't do shi-wooooow!" Auger yelled, as he looked forward in his spin. "Ooooh, that's what ya meant." Auger realized, looking at the artillery. Landing on an undead, which promptly broke from the impact force, Auger destroyed all the undead around his immediate area in a blur of movement, before looking at the large metal artillery. "Well, I don't want to harm my swords, so..." Auger said, looking at the first of the emplacements, pulling back his fist, and smashing the artillery with it. The barrel dented and broke, and the bottom of the cannon was promptly uprooted, and thrown at a nearby pocket of undead ten seconds later, breaking in the process and taking out several undead with it. "Well, there's one..." Auger said to himself, continuing. Nearby, an Angel came near him with blade, but, seeing the devastation he was creating in the undead forces, decided to pass him by.
Re: Kiltara
There was a loud whistling noise as a massive barrage of missiles launched from the decks of the Motherwill, streaming out to the entire battlefield and impacting, creating a wall of fire. Said wall just barely missed Auger, as he was in the middle of the enemy line.
Vires parried one attack, reflecting the bullets away with his sword, and grabbed a gunner whose bayonet was poised to attempt to stab him. He twirled and sliced the head off of the gunman, and at the end, speared another undead with said gun, continuing his carnage.

Re: Kiltara
Auger narrowly dodged the strike of an undead three times his size, before stabbing his sword into the ground, using it as leverage to jump upwards when the being struck for his leg, only for Auger to then bury his own kick into it's chest. the being went down and was soon still. Auger barely swept the sweat off his brow before a group of 5 more undead attacked, but Auger found them no troule at all, cutting off one's head, and dodging and stabbing the second in one single motion, before kicking the third hard enough to shatter it. the fourth fired a laser weapon at Auger, but Found the attack to be blocked by his blade, refracted upwards. Auger threw his short sword at the undead and found his ranged attack to be much more successful than the other warrior's was, before moving to dodge the spear the fifth attempted to hit him with. that skeleton found himself baked in flame soon after by the motherwill's attack, the flame's coming close enough that Auger was able to feel the heat of the attack. "Hmmmm... well, the big thing is pretty strong... I wonder if it's stronger than me?" Auger asked himself, a dangerous twinkling in his eye. "...Nahhh. it'd probably be useless against a single target anyways." Auger said, smirking, before moving on to the third artillery platform he could see, the second already a smoking crater behind him.
Re: Kiltara
The Motherwill was now showing more of its teeth as several secondary repeating cannons opened up on the enemy reinforcements swarming over the hill. The missile barrage also continued, but was more spread out. Overall, the battlefield was becoming increasingly chaotic, as two extra waves of mechs came flying in and assaulting the larger craft, only to be countered by the angels and allied mechs.
Vires himself was in one of the thick parts of the battlefield, fighting by himself. As one undead attacked him, he grabbed the sword, broke it with his hand, and actually threw the top piece at the undead's head, finishing off with a deathblow to a second undead that attempted to charge him. As much as I may find battles pleasing, this gets me nothing to elongate it. He thought to himself, and then shouted Fus Staadnau Nah. The result was a shockwave that cast the undead surrounding Vires flying off a rather large distance.
He started walking towards Auger's location, occasionally stabbing the undead that were cast down but not destroyed along the way.

Re: Kiltara
Auger found that pieces of the large mechs served as excellent tools to hurt smaller targets as well, using one's arm to bash apart an artillery platform he was near, as well as the frail crew inside. An undead coming from behind him was shattered in a thousand pieces as auger abruptly dropped the arm and hit it with a powerful roundhouse kick. another soldier appeared with what appeared to be a fire-arm of some sort, only to be struck first by Auger's chained blades, the dagger striking him directly in the head. "Jeez, this is a dissapointing showing. I should find another of the big metal guys. this is boring as hell." he commented, clearly a bit unimpressed by his current opponents.
Re: Kiltara
As another barrage from the Arms Fort was unleashed, the undead forces suddenly retreated. In the distance, Auger and Vires could see a Black Knight, alongside several, roughly five or so, second class reapers. Apparently, he was the commander of this force.
Vires, now having reached Auger, spoke up in a calm tone. "He is the mind for these heartless creatures." Pointing out the Black Knight in particular. "He is our target, but not today."

Re: Kiltara
Auger halted mid-step, seeing him. "Damn, that's the second time that I haven't gotten to fight one of those. One of these days..." Auger said, suddenly off-put. It was clear he wanted to fight the black knight immensely. Still, on Vires word, he decided not to. "I called him though, just so ya know." He finally said with a bit of a pout in his voice.
Re: Kiltara
"Indeed you did, but, he will lead us to future battles still..." Vires stated, as an angel landed beside him. "My lord, the Aeon forces are advancing at a steady pace once more." The female angel reported to the two of them. "Thank you, Anna." Vires said, watching the Black Knight fly away from the battlefield.
"But they are merely a means to an end... Auger, he will lead us to a more important battle. You may fight him and more like him at that battle, all I require of you is your support." Vires explained to Auger rather calmly. It was hard to decipher what the armored figure was thinking despite his clear-cut words.

Re: Kiltara
"Wait, there's more than one? Great! I've been wondering what I'd do when I was done fighting him..." Auger seemed brightened up at the prospect. "I'll give ya your support, just so long as you point me to them quick as ya can." Auger said, as his ki surged in anticipation. Vires might notice it had gone up moderately compared to his ki before the battle, despite his battered condition.
Re: Kiltara
Vires smiled ever so slightly, though it could not be seen underneath the armor. "Though take heed, not everyone we meet will be an opponent, even if they first present themselves to us in that manner." He said, turning around to see the Motherwill Arms Fort march overhead of them. "Before the day is done, we will have accomplished much."
Several human soldiers, mechs, and Aeon's own troops marched past the trio, as Vires merely transported them to the top of the Arms Fort with a clear view ahead. Exitius's base of operations could be clearly seen. The black cathedral-like building surrounded by green haze and spires taller than even the central construct were directly ahead of them. Surrounding the complex was a very tall, black wall of some unknown material. To either side, there were other Motherwill class Arms Forts.
"The fortress of Malum, our destination Auger... When we reach there, stay close to me. We have a specific objective and then we must depart upon its completion." Vires explained to Auger, then walked toward the interior of the Arms Fort. The battle was still several hours away.
Annastaziel remained to wonder at the fortress with a distinct calmness about her. In her attire, one could clearly tell her loyalties, given the gold, and enchanted, armor she dons.

Re: Kiltara
"awww, really? And here I was hoping to do some solo fights." Auger complained. He'd truly been having a fair bit of fun in a battle such as this - while one might consider such a massive battle, without end, utterly hopeless, for Auger it was more of a dream come true, a thing he'd been looking for for much of his life. trailing along eagerly regardless, he asked "So, this fortress, does it have some nice guards? everything I've fought so far's been disappointingly bad at fighting."
Re: Kiltara
"I do not know." Vires admitted, before disappearing inside the Arms Fort's interior. Anna soon quietly followed her lord inside, desiring to protect him at all times.

Re: Kiltara
"Vires, I'm boooored. Are we there yet?" Auger asked, coming up behind Vires. "Everyone here smells weak, and I can't train in something this cramped."
Re: Kiltara
Vires shook his head, although in truth he was smiling inside due to the amusement he got from Auger acting like a small child. He turned to Auger, stopping in the hallway. "If you are so lacking a challenge then I would be more than happy to oblige your interests for a time." He challenged towards Auger, inviting him to a sparring match. "It would do me good to train and you as well to learn how to combat foes with powers greater than your own. Such will be common on the road we will travel."
Re: Kiltara
Auger's face changed to a grin at that statement. "Alright! That sounds like a plan." Auger said, gripping the hilt of his blade. "Let's see what ya got, then." Auger taunted, grinning like a mad-man. his aura itself, though not filled with murderous intent, would show it's fighting instinct in this moment, as his ki pushed out in eagerness from him.
